AMD or Nvidia coming out with their own consoles would be pretty sweet. At least there'd be a chance you could play your PC games on it, and a much higher chance of PC-Console multiplayer.
That would be fun, especially if it had PC-console connectivity and keyboard compatability.
Y'know, have the console set up on your TV with gamepad, then a wireless connection to your PC (Or some kind of connection, anyway), so you could stream games/install them on the console from the PC . Like Onlive, but not shit.
It would be even better if it worked with Steam.
So maybe one day you have a day off and decide to get all hardcore, and spend some time on PC with SupCom or STALKER, but another day, you want to relax, so you pull your steam copy of Alien Swarm or Plants Vs Zombies on to the console.
Of course, that's a crazy idea. No-one would do that. Well, no-one would do it well.
I'd probably buy that. Plus, it might stop those PC vs con... BWAHAHAHA, nah.

Personally I would love to see Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and PC's all combine into one universal console, which caters equally for all types of gamer and with a universal online system. We shouldn't let hardware and software divide us as a people.
PC with a 360 gamepad is as close as that idea is going to come for a long while.
