A Ps3 and an xbox?

It all depends on your financial resources. Although I favour the x360 at this present time, I feel that you are choosing the right console for the future. The x360 is definetely worth getting (online support for the ps3 is nowhere near the excellence of xbox live....not yet)if only for the splendour that will be Gears of War 2. The Ps3 will win the race due to the x360 not having the stamina to keep up. It is said that the Ps3 will last up to the year 2018 (wow that seems a long time away) whilst the 360 will be exhausted by 2013. There is many good exclusives for both platforms but I feel I must warn you about the following:
The one issue I have with the Ps3 is the controller. The triggers are reversed. They are not like the 360's which is designed correctly. You will know what I am talking about when you assign fire primary weapon to the triggers or if you are using them to brake and accelerate in a racing game. More often than not (during lengthy gaming sessions) your fingers will slip off the triggers.They are extremely uncomfortable and yes, do not eat crisps (chips) without washing your hands after. It is only a minor gripe but I was very dissapointed.
But if you can afford it, buy both. You won't be dissapointed.

No. Get either a Wii, or a PC if you want another console in addition to it.

He wan't a console not a PC, so I think it is a good idea. The 360 has more games then Wii and PS3 so you have more options, but if it bugs out you can play your PS3 or use it as a really good Blu-ray player.

I don't own a PS3, but look at the image on the TV next time its on display or in a friends house because its hard to beat that.


But if you can afford it I guess a PC will be just as good as a 360 (but if I were you I'd buy a gamepad).

Fable 2 just came out exclusive for the 360, so if you like RPGs at all getting a 360 in addition would be a good idea at the moment

chick in EB today trying to talk up M$'s $160 60gb drive that is coming out as if it was a bargin... couldnt help but lol when i thought back to when i replaced my ps3's HDD with a spangly new 320 gb for about $150 some months ago...

personally im looking fowards a price drop on SSD drives
dont even want to think what M$ would charge for one of those!!!

Oops, I should have included that I do already have a very nice gaming pc, capable of playing anything on the market at the moment. And, yes I'm fully aware that having 3 gaming machines is a bit on the gluttonous side. But, hey.. what can I say? Winter is coming up and I'll be spending some time indoors!

Get a Wii - how simple is that? The PS3 and Xbox 360's libraries overlap, and it's hard to discount the quality of games like Mario Galaxy, Zelda: TP, Metroid Prime 3, etc. Not to mention the old GC exclusives.

Actually my comment was directed at op, not at you. But yes you would get just as much flack of saying $ony as you would M$ because, and let's be honest with each other here, it's fucking retarded.

Ahh but seriously mate, your not going to get a straight answer. No one can answer the quesiton except yourself. Xbox has ALOT of games, and a good online service. Thats it's strength. PS3 is a blue-ray/home theater/deep fat fryer system. Thats it's strength. The Wii is attractive to non-gamers. Thats it's strength.

And no, they won't fixed a refurbished for you, because the warranty isn't under your name. You need to buy it from them, or the warranty is voided. Also avoid the lame X-Box Arcade. Get either the Xbox360 Pro or the Xbox 360 Elite. Me, i'm gonna get the pro.

PS: Bill Gates has fanboys...? I was pretty sure even PC/Xbox Owners hated Microsoft/Gates...

I'd say you don't really need a second console. You already said the P$3 (Tee hee) was your favourite console, I assume some of the reasoning behind that would be that you prefer the games, unless you really want Fable 2 and Halo 3 (or alternatively whatever Nintendo games take your fancy) desperately then there's no reason to bother with having two.

I don't like answering format..reminds me of tests.

It's simple. If your a gamer, you want Xbox360 mainly because it does have more exclusives but a few of the exclusives on PS3 are most likely going to be ported on Xbox360.

The Main reason I wanted a PS3 for so long was MGS4 but after talking to a good amount of people, knowing konami.. they'll probably make Substance MSG4 blah blah blah. So yeah.. I would say Xbox360.
