My parents don't really care, unless it's all blood and gore, like what the SAW game is gonna be
Incorrect! That's only if you fail to escape a trap, most likely. Other than that, it seems like it'll play out similarly to a Silent Hill game.
Yes, but it's still based on the SAW movies which they know about
Have they seen it? I haven't, but I've heard the gore is exaggerated when being spoken of. But my claim still stands that chances are it isn't going to be a major bloodbath with precious little else.
They haven't seen it, but they've seen the commercials, the advetising, and they know the premise

My parents don't let me play realistic games with crime, e.g. gta 4, other that that it's up to me, (i'm on my brothers account, i'm 14)
Pretty much this, but only with my Mum. My Dad knows that I am mentally stable and mature enough to play any game I wish. So he's the one who gets GTA and the like for me.

my parents educated me enough to know it is a completely false reality protrayed by games, do they dont care what i played, i was playing Grandtheft Autos at the age of 10, watching 18+ movies at 6 years of age, obviously not Adult rated (porno) movies. ive always had a computer with the internet since i can remember, from about 4 years of age, and im 20 now... i have never been monitored or checked by my parents becuase they trust my judgement and i trust them in return for trusting me.

I think problems in todays society with young children rise from the lack of education from the parents explaining what is going on in front of thier eyes, when i was little i sat with my parents watching these 18+ rated movies and they would explain things and i would ask questions and that was how i learnt what is right and wrong, what is real and what is fake etc. without the guidance of parents i fear the children just think what they see on TV/Games is OK and acceptable.

I think my parents intentionally closed a few ports so a game I was addicted to (and paying monthly for) would cease to function as intended.

Looking back, I think it was very wise for them to do.
