I've heard a lot from people who hate Call of Duty and Halo multiplayer. They don't like the players or game at all. So I just want to ask this question: What do you guys play online? If you can't stand Halo and CoD, what games do you play online? I'm honestly curious.
-Note: I realize that CoD and Halo aren't the only games with online multiplayer, they're just the most popular.
I play Bad Company, but I have no problem with Halo or COD.

I don't hate the game just the dip-shit's that I've played it with. I saw damn near all of Halo 2's glitches in under an hour. My cousin's are in no way tactful. It's not limited to games either. So yeah I'm avoiding a game to avoid just a few people.

CoD seems to be for the hardcore realistic modern military shooter like bfbc2, halo is an addicting and awesome sci-fi action universe, but its multiplayer can get hectic and purely fun and great to screw with. the argument against games like that is pointless to me, games are for FUN, not attempting blunt badassery, you need to do stuff like that in real life, not fictional games. thats why i gained skills to drill you between the eyes in REAL life XD

I dont 'hate' Halo 3 or COD's MP, i just dont like it. At all. And even Halo or COD players must admit that most of the community in them is of rather poor quality.

As for what i do play in MP: L4D 1+2, GTA IV, RD:R, SC:C, BC2.

Team Fortress 2, L4D with friends at their houses and 007 Quantum of Solace. I never really got into the whole Halo thing; I'm not into armored soldiers. COD is fine but I haven't bought the new games. I don't hate, I just stand back. I don't follow trends, I make them... or I try to make them (to be more accurate)

Online generally I avoid. I play Starcraft, and I have some friends that I LAN with.

That's about it though honestly. I have my XBL subscription mainly so I can get games on demand of from the arcade.

Online play just doesn't interest me on consoles.

I'm not a CoD hater. I just dislike Halo because I hate the idea of having to unload 10,000 rounds into an enemy before they die. Too much jumping around etc.
I completely agree with you man. Compared to CoD, the damage in halo is nothing.

Team Fortress 2, mostly. I love it, there is actual TEAM work, even in Pub games! Plus classes that actually MATTER.

Also, while I own a 360, I rarely use it, and Halo 3 is a 360 exclusive, and Modern Warfare 2 lacks dedicated servers.

Call me a PC Elitist if you want, but those are both facts.

I really don't play any games online. LAN is as about as far as I can go. The reason for this is because you just run around shooting people, which I can do in just about any game with single player. Games like Wolfenstein ET, Section 8 etc however, give objectives. That intices me to play with other people.

I rather liked CoD4 online multi, and I also played a little of Gears of War 2. Phantasy Star Online was another I did online, as well as FFXIV when that comes out.
Though I am one of those people who don't lke Halo (second and third that is, first one I enjoyed often) but that's for my own reasons, though the less than acceptible community online is part of it.

I hate halo because its just a bit retarded all over, with bright coloured armor and jumping a metre and a half in the air, it all seems a bit 'my first shooter' to me.
As for CoD, I don't hate the multiplayer, actually I really enjoy it. I'm just not fast enough for online mp, since I'm practically using dial-up XD. I reckon I enjoy the feel of an in-your-face discrace that splitscreen allows ;P

As for other games I play online, I've been addicted to Killzone 2's mp for ages, every time I boot it up I look at the clock and it's five hours later XD.
I also play Battlefield Bad Company, it's good fun ;P

Starcraft 2. Best RTS ever.

I think I said in another thread that if you don't like Starcraft for any reason, it means your opinion is the wrong opinion and you deserve to die.

Resistance 2, Left4Dead, Counter-Strike (you know the game that CoD 4 pretty much ripped off), Day of Defeat, Boshock II, and Diablo II (soon to be III).
Also, I don't hate CoD4, I hate mw2 as it was more of the same.
I've also never really liked the multiplayer in any of the halo games and only cared for the single player campaign of the first game, tried to get into the second game but the plot was just awful and boy was it anticlimactic.
-Edit- I'm currently playing Bad Company II which shits all over MW2 in every conceivable aspect, especially the community.

Urban Terror, TF2, or Halo 1 (35 kills on Bloody Gulch without firing a single shot - God, but I love me a Warthog!) for run-n-gun fun, UT2004:Invasion or Global Agenda when I feel like RPG'ing, and Darkest Hour when I want to challenge myself with something a little more realistic. (Hip firing a K98 is for the big boys, son. Why don't y'all come back when you've got some fuzz on them peaches? )
