Life's good enough for me without that much. I live in a city with many other non-etc. people, so we can all just get together and enjoy life.

Where is your avatar from? That was hilarious!

On topic. I don't do any of those things and I am quite happy. It can be boring sometimes but aside from that, I am happy. I watch anime, read, draw, play games, do parkour, hang out with friends, play tag and think philosophically. I would like a strong mentality so that by the time I'm out of school, I'll be knowledgeable, strong and wise. I personally think that all of the fun will start when I am out of school. Since I am artistic I hope to find an artistic job. I also hope to find a like-minded , artistic and philosophical woman. Until then I am trying to train my body to resist sexual urges just for the sake of seeing if I can do it. I'm making a game out of it, and it's fun. So I am avoiding casual sex as well.

I am happy.

I think my life is better than yours.

You drink = liver disease, hangover and countless embarrassing moments.
I dont = sober most of the time

you smoke= Lung cancer AHOOOY, and everyone around you realize you are trying to get them killed
I dont= healthy

you use drugs= loss of sanity, death and utter stupidity
I dont = healthy

I dont see in anyway how your life is better....all I see is that the chances of your doom are a lot higher. So I am happy :D

I'm in the middle of happy and sad. Whether or not I use drugs or alcahol doesn't factor into the equation.

I can not understand how other people can... enjoy life without those fun things.
That's sad, man. I kind of pity you.

I abstain from all of those things except the occasional drink, and I'm perfectly happy. I'm engaged to a wonderful guy who feels the same way. Like many other ways of life, it's a personal choice to live the way we do. There are plenty of ways to have fun without breaking God's laws. Personally, I have less fun when deliberately drinking than I do when I'm sober.

I rarely drink, only in celebrations.
I dont smoke. (minus 1 cigar every 6 months and ONLY for a special occasion.)
and I dont do drugs because:

a) im not supporting some stupid 13 year old drug addict by buying off him.
b) im not risking getting that imprinted on my clean record saying "Drug Possession"
c) most I'd do is pot, and even then im contemplated about it for the above reasons.

and no, my life isn't happy but that's due to completely unrelated matters.

The only thing on your list that I do do is drink and I don't even do that regularly.

I enjoy my life a decent amount and have good friends, I also find that being in a commited relationship with someone I genuinely love is far more fun and enjoyable than a couple of minutes of fumbling and a squirt of liquid is.

I do of course get depressed at times but that's just natural.

I don't do any of these things because I don't go to parties (and I've been told this is where most of the aformentioned illicit acts takes place). My life is pretty boring, but I'd say I'm happy, well happy enough.

I don't do any of those things and i'm perfectly happy. I dispise smoking, it has ruined the lives of many of my family and it's expensive as hell. I drink when i go out, i just dont often go out, i prefer to hang out with just my friends. Casual sex i am opposed to both because i find it dishonorable(yeah, i'm old fashioned, deal with it) and for a couple of practical reasons. Drugs are dangerous for the most part, they inhibit your senses in ways that can get u hurt, and can kill you outright. cocaine will eventually kill you as if from an overdose, even if you use the same dose every time. It has something to do with the part of the brain it targets, repeat stimulations will weaken it, reducing the max dose you can safely take. and i don't see the point, i have more than enough fun without drugs. I have plenty of fun without doing unhealthy and possibly dangerous things to my body, I'm happy without it, so why take the risk, even if it is minimal.

I don't need chemical help to be happy, and I don't need constant sex to be happy either. All I need to be happy is the ability to enjoy the world around me.

So yes, I am happy even though I don't drink or smoke or do any sort of drug.

I'm fairly happy with no experience of most of those whatsoever.
But taking pride in the fact that I've not would be stupid.
My life is probably less productive that a lot of people who use whatever drugs. I believe that we are all just people, no matter what happens clearly, we, are very different people.
Smoking (legally at least) does pretty much nothing for you, alcohol just starves your brain of oxygen and... (cop out) other drugs are illegal and therefore not regulated/possibly dangerous. And finally sex is overrated, I have good friends which will do for me.
I can't qualify why I'm happy exactly but I'm happy without these things.

I don't do any drugs and don't exactly have any paramours either, but let me put it this way: Have you ever been the only sober person in a room full of drunken/high people? It's quite an experience in itself, my friends.
Knowing exactly how stupid someone's idea sounds when they're high as a kite and think they're 'figuring it all out' just has a certain sadistic quality to it. I mean, when you're not high you can totally appreciate the honors student over in the corner who's convinced herself she's a lamp. In layman's terms: being sober makes you the smartest person in the room for a short period, regardless of your company... And there's something so appealing about that.
As for illicit sex... I've always felt it was pointless unless it was with someone you... shared something more than body parts with. If I share that theory with anyone (with more delicate wording), it convinces them my intentions are pure and that I am trustworthy and candide. Then they tell me their secrets, and take my side whenever I find myself in feuds.
I'm not saying I have anything against people who partake of some sweet sweet ganja once in a while (or perhaps the devil's mouthwash as the case may be), or even those that see sex as more of a recreational activity. What I am saying is that abstaining has its own temporary highs and benefits as well. Of course Happiness is a tricky word, mulled over by philosophers and poets for thousands of years. About ninety percent of those philosophers were probably doing some recreational drugs themselves, as for the poets... Shakespeare always struck me as a bit 'fruity'. But all in all I'd say: Yes. I'm pretty damn happy.

Don't drink, smoke or anything like that and I'm pretty happy.

I get depressed from time to time, but that's natural. Overall, I'm a pretty happy person.

I've tried recreational drugs and I felt worse afterward than I had before. I don't like the taste of alcohol. Smoke gives me choking fits. I'm shy.
In short, I am boring.

Perhaps there's an overlap in the kind of person who's open to trying all sorts of things and the kind of person who's able to be happy with life. I don't think it's a causative relationship, but hey they might be related.
