I peronally know alot of people who fit the description you described. Some of them are happy, some not. But most of them don't do those things because they think it's beneath them, I work with a guy that thinks he's better then everyone who partakes in any sort of vice. It's beneath him to drink, smoke, use drugs, or have sex. And he would have ALOT in common with alot of people on this site, now don't get me wrong, not doing these things is perfectly fine. But when you walk around with an undeserved sense of accomplishment and an elitist attitude I will call BS on you faster then hell.Spinozaad said:A-men
It annoys the hell oput of me when people look down on your style of life as an outsider and have no real knowledge of it. Sure it has it's highs (haha) and lows, but it's my deal, so.... fuck off.
And the guy I talked about, he's a 26 year old virgin who still lives with his parents and is the completely stereotypical "basement nerd" type of person, except he has a job... that's the only thing that may set him apart.
I have actually gotten him into a social gathering, and he's a complete party pooper. I will point out a totally gorgeous girl and he'll find something trivial to make her look bad. Like... "Oh, she's wearing those shoes I think suck, she must be dumb" or "Look at her shirt, you can see her cleavage, she's a slut".
It's just sad, but in my professional opinion, for people like that it's a defense mechanism brought on by an internal need to justify their obvious fault in social behavior. To make themselves feel better they ridicule others to give themselves a sense of worth. It's really easy to talk shit about a girl that is out of ones league, so instead of admitting it a guy like him makes them seem beneath him because it's easier then admitting he has no chance and that he may be undesireable.
So yeah... that's what I think.
