My advice, kill them all, bribe the police, then you'll never have any problems about it again.

Short of that, I probably wouldn't have, because most girls seem to think someone is flirting if they say "Hi", so I would be very doubtful of them.

My take as a girl is that:

a) Sarah and Amanda are exaggerating, probably to give Sarah an ego boost.
b) I wouldn't have told Emily, because it would only upset her and is based on nothing more than Sarah and Amanda's heavily biased recall of the event.
c) I might've had a few words with Bob, mainly to say that Sarah seems to be suffering under the misapprehension that Bob was flirting with her, and since you know Bob would never do anything to hurt Emily, he might need to be a little bit careful around Sarah in future. (Since she's clearly mental). At this point I may have added that in either case, flirting is harmless, but be careful of Emily's feelings.

Probably would've worded it better when actually talking to Bob, but you get the idea.

Until you said how close you and her were I would have said don't bother, it was probably innocent anyway and it doesnt really concern you.
If your that close to her then yeah. You did the right thing.

If you knew for a fact that he had cheated on her, and you're not very close to him, then you say. If you're good friends with both, deny all knowledge and stay away.

Say nothing but "accidently" hit bob in the testicles with a baseball bat during a "friendly" game of Baseball, or Cricket if thats your game, or outright punch him anyway and say you have tourettes or something.

I would have waited to see if anything more came of it, it something adverse happened, I'd mention both incedents to said Emily.

Seems like you put yourself between a rock and a hardplace for no reason. Then again, I'm not the right person to ask about this kind of stuff.

But you did give me the excuse to use this

And for that I thank you. Good luck with your problem, I'm sure time will sort things out.
Oh god this is hilarious. Well played.

OT: I would have actually went to Bob instead and told him to quit fucking around or I'd hurt him. Honestly, you didn't have to get the girls involved in it, and you could have solved the situation without alienating everyone in the entire group by just going to the source of the problem which obviously is Bob.

I wouldn't have done anything, since it doesn't concern me. Even if it did, it effecting a little sister, etc. I'd have dealt with it... personally... if you catch my drift...

And by personally, I mean Goodfellas type of personally.
I wouldn't have told either, but in general, you would choose not to easily prevent a bad situation from happening in favor of violent damage control? Which usually leads to more problems? Doesn't that seem just a tad... ridiculous?

[small]Yes I can spot a joke. Can you?[/small]
Seems stupid to me, but I'm the kinda person who responds to violent damage control with AHEM* enthusiastic violence.
hehe, i can imagine someone having a friend they are really close to, and is pondering whether or not her boyfriend is playing around too much and hurting her... then deciding the best way to deal with the situation is to punch her in the face, then stamp on her whilst she's on the ground, then throw a chair at some random guy not involved, until soon everybody is fighting for no reason whatsoever !!! :D

Hmm, I would have probably stayed on the sidelines and remained neutral about it.
Best case would have been that nothing happens, worse case would have had you in a more educated position of knowlage on the situation to pick up the pieces wherever they may fall.
