A quick question about your friends

For the purposes of this question, I don't really care what distinction you make when naming your friends. You can count real life friends, friends over facebook, friends over the forums, or any other kind of communication barrier. I just care about people you consider your friend.

Now for the question:
Do you have more friends of the same sex, or of the opposite sex?
Do you have more heterosexual friends, or more non-heterosexual friends?
Do you have more friends with the same skin tone as you, or different skin tone?

Make whatever judgement you want of other people's answers, I'll just be using your answers to settle an argument I am having with a friend of mine of the opposite sex. Oh, and I'm also curious, but I get curious quite frequently /shrug

For discussion purposes, do you have any idea why you have the kind of friends you do? I have mostly heterosexual friends of the same sexual orientation and skin tone. I think it is because I live in Alberta, the most red-necky place in Canada and because I play a lot of video games, which has a majority of people like myself. It could also be because I make friends with people like myself?

All of my close friends are white heterosexual(as far as I know) males. They're all male because most of the females I know are incredibly annoying.

Yup, same here. Reason for me is that I went through the military with all of them and well, we all know how brutal the male-female ratio is in that organization.

It's a fucking rainbow of awesome.

Well, maybe friends is a strong word for the people I'm thinking of, because all we do is joke around. I honestly cannot tell you their last name, adresses, or other friends.

Most of my friends that I'm close to now are male, I had more female friends where I used to live but I'm not that great at keeping in touch and I'm pretty bad with people overall. Seriously, I'm super awkward.

A couple of my friends are gay, one is bi and another is asexual.
Don't really have many friends of different skin colours, because where I was living before and where I live now are not very diverse, so I don't even know anyone of a different skin colour.

I had mostly male friends growing up, because I was a tomboy, but I was friends with other tomboys too. I always used to get the `You're just one of the guys!` thing...

It's a pretty good mix between genders, mostly heterosexual, mostly white. I get along with either gender fine, maybe a bit better with dudes. Mostly heterosexual because I don't go out of my way to befriend other gay men or lesbos, and mostly white because where I live is mostly white.

I talk to my male friends most often, but thinking about it (not something I have ever actually done), I have an almost 50/50 mix of male and female friends. I'm honestly not sure what sexuality a lot of them are, but quite a few are married to a member of the opposite sex, so guessing heterosexual for convenience's sake.

As for race - bit of everything. I grew up with predominately black or mixed race friends, but as I got older, and moved away, made more white friends.

I'm a straight white woman, by the way - I realise the above information doesn't sufficiently answer the question without that tidbit.

You leave my my friends out of this, you crazy Zerg bastard! You want a piece of me?! COME ON!!!

(The above is just kidding.)

OT: I haven't really kept track of this stuff. My friends are not a series of demographics. They're my friends.

I'm black . I have 5 female friends and 2 male friends . 3 of my female friends are white , 2 of my female friends are asian . As for my male friends , 1 is white and the second is latino .

They are all heterosexual , except for the 1 asian girl that is bi-sexual .

The reason all of my friends are non black( remember i'm black ) i don't like/get along with black people . I don't like how most of them ( remember what most means) in general are heavily influenced by some sort of nonsense culture making them behave like absolute idiots . I don't even blame racist people for being racist against black people , i understand ( though disagree ) why they would be .

Also i am incomfortable around homosexual people ( male and female ). It is their choice and i have nothing against them , but it makes me uncomfortable. It's my problem to deal with . Just i don't want to be friends with them , not that they are bad people . As for my one bi-sexual female friend . Well i am a man , and i guess ( as hypocritical as this would sound ) i have a fantasy abot having a threesome and this is my best bet .

As a straight white male, the majority of my friends are white males. I assume most of them are straight.

I need more female friends. :(

I have more straight, male, white friends than other groups. It's not like I don't have gay or female friends. Race doesn't matter either. It just is the group that, when I think about it, I tend to gravitate towards.

...

I actually feel worse about myself now.

I'm male, white and heterosexual. I actually have more female friends than male, the majority of my friends are heterosexual, with a few homosexual friends, and the overwhelming majority of my friends are white. Out of interest, what is the actual argument with the friend?

I have a pretty even mix of male and female friends. I know that at least two of them are bisexual and all of them are white (but that's mainly because there are very few non-white people at my high school).

My closest friends are 4 males and a female, all white and straight.

Expanding to friends and aquaintances, I have slightly more female than male friends, about 10% are non-white, and about 5% are gay.

Oh, and I'm a straight white male.
