Hmmm, with no offense to the OP intended, i can't help but feel there are a number of reasons why this just isn't a good thread idea. Firstly, most users were likely initially brought to The Escapist website due to Zero Punctuation. Secondly, perhaps a thread title like 'My thoughts on the Zero Puncutation series' would seem a bit less, overwhealming or bold i suppose. Thirdly, the review seemed more like a tribute from a fan rather than a critical overview. But hopefully this is constructive critisism. The main thing is that i'd just like to see it be more objective and look at the potential flaws of the series also.

With short paragraphs and the fanboyism, it's hard to take this review seriously.

Let's go to the points you should be addressing.

A. Why do you like Zero Punctuation?
B. What is Zero Punctuation?
C. Why should people like Zero Punctuation?
D. Does Zero Punctuation has flaws?

And many many many many many others. If you're going to do reviews on this site, check other reviews. They might give you an insight on how to actually do one.
A review of ZP shouldn't be done in the first place. Anything said at all about Zero Punctuation or Yahtzee is just overkill at this point.

I don't think a review of Zero Punctuation was really needed. Nearly everyone on this site is here because of him. But I fully agree that ZP is awesome.
I second that! (n_n)

Wow, serious fanboyism. There was no review in this. Frankly, I want my time back for actually reading it.

Oh the things I should have done.

Can someone explain to me how a person known for his hatred of fanboyism now has his own personal army of them?
well, to hate something is to acknowledge the existence of that thing. that applies i think.

plus it has been shown in his reviews that he does listen to them, he just doesn't care what they say, and that is different from being ignored altogether.

wait, was that a rhetorical question?

This was a review? To be unbiased I'd say this review was pretty biased, but then we run the risk of making an infinitely critical review loop.

I think even Yahtzee could find a few more things than this to complain or even talk about.
You're not scared of what he might say are you?
Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that he never comes on the forums... Pretty sure.

Someone ought to give a serious critique of Yahtzee's work though, or he will never come to terms with his flaws.

I think it'd take a pretty critical self-important bearded tosser to take Yahtzee on. I'm not even sure where to start looking.

The guy is good at dissecting a video game to find its flaws and relating that info to us in a comedic fashion. That is all.

It's ok, it's not the second coming of whatever messiah you believe in, but it's ok.

While I generally agree with you, this is less a review, and more a spouting of fanboyish joy.

Wait, we're now doing reviews of reviews?
Danzorz covered the idea a while ago [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.77764], but that was more of a joke than this.
Don't ask me how I found that thread.
As for that review, as everyone else has said: serious fanboyism, more detail needed, more descriptions/ explanations/ reasoning needed (we need both facts and opinions in a review, here we only have opinions), better conclusion needed (I'd barely call that a conclusion, a good conclusion should sum up all the major points in your review... which there are few of as well) and be less bias.

So, good luck with a better one and have a nice day!

I have to say this read more as the reasons you like ZP rather than a review. Also, what is the point of reviewing a reviewer? You don't see the New York Times reviewing Siskel and Ebert.

Also, I am confused by your "Test the waters" comment? What waters are you testing exactly?

Anyway, Welcome to the Escapist, I hope your future posts improve.

This isn't really a great review but people need to remember YAHTZEE DOES NOT REVIEW GAMES he CRITIZES.

You could elaborate much more on your points a review needs to be much longer and yes I know this has been said but it is more of a tribute than anything else.

Also the reason why 90% of the stuff is crap is because Yahtzee is also supposed to be funny he wouldn't be funny if he was nice in the critizing of games.

Seriously, you made me feel better at writing after reading this fanboy zquee'ing. (And that's saying a lot seeing as how I still need to work on coherence).

Also you must be criminally new to this place *peers at your post count*.
