I see a woman with long, wavy blond hair, a pale complexion, and her left eyebrow raised slightly, wearing a branded white polo shirt in a pitch black room.
After listening to a few songs from Vampire Weekend's Contra Album I began to wonder about the cover art and went off to investigate like the little internet detective I am.
Turns out its been used by the band as a sort of Rorsarch Test as many people feel different things when they see a white girl, with blonde hair, in a pale polo shirt. So I was wondering what the reactions would be from members of the Escapist. The picture is below.
I find it incredibly unnevering and creepy. It makes me feel pretty unsettled and quite vulnerable for some reason. So, what did you think or feel when you saw it?
Edit: Here is what most people apparently feel when they see a picture like this. Probably shouldn't click until you make your own mind up, incase it interferes with your answer.
Most people usually feel mad or angry for some reason.
I know it makes me seem weird but I thought of like a rich white country club girl with 1800 butlers and can order anyone murdered and she looks like a girl I saw on a murder documentary.
That reaction would probley hit off with anyone...you used the term investigation then show a attractive, innocent looking girl...
Hell even "Wide eyed" (if not creepy wide eyed) which instantly trigger a ideal something bad happened to her... you could get that repsonce with any race of young female... most any human with feels hates to see anyone, let alone a cute someone be harmed.
I don't feel creeped out in the slightest. I think she's got the expression - and fashion sense - of someone with a slight sense of entitlement, and in that sense she looks a little confrontational. I don't get angry at that, though. In fact, it's sort of attractive. So, in conclusion, I'd sort of like to sleep with her.
