Recently, at my sixth form college a fight broke out between a best friend of mine and and one of his ex-friends. Now to make it clear now, this fight wasn't a play ground scuffle; it was brutal and all out: it took two teachers too restrain my friend from continuing the fight where as the other guy could barely move afterwards. Now usually, at our school this is grounds for expulsion for the person who started the fight, if not both of them.
However;
This issue is causing some debate over what should happen to my friend (who from now on will be referred too as "Luke") and to the boy who he was fighting (from here on out will be referred to as "Ryan"). Weeks before this fight, Ryan and Luke ended their friendship because Ryan attempted to rape Luke. The attempted rape has caused Luke some psychological issues and trama, though not severe enough to keep him away from continuing his school life. The head of the sixth form is aware of what happened to Luke, and people who witnessed the fight have said that ryan provoked Luke by mentioning the rape attempt. This information is making it difficult to decide what will happen to the both of them.
So escapist, what do you think should happen?
