A lot of good shows that were canceled. Firefly and Arrested Development are two good examples.

In terms of shows that meant to end that way, Trigun. That was one of the worst endings ever: the first half of the last episode was recap. I mean, if you didn't already know that stuff you shouldn't be watching the last episode anyway! And the last half was a gun battle. That was it. All the emotional tension and history the show developed ended in a really short, simple gun battle.

Still a really good show, though. Recommended.

Dresden Files, only got one season before it was canceled.
Shame really, I liked that show.
Have you ever read the books? In my opinion, they're much better.

And I really have to agree with Firefly. I never watched it until recently, but it was a brilliant show.

Don't blame them. Blame the freaking author dying! He NEVER wrote the finale. No notes, nothing. Whut a bish.

And read the books, they're a total nerdfest.

I really couldn't care less about animés (they're mostly so generic as to be pretty much interchangeable anyway)

But as for television series with real actors, Firefly was DEFINETLY cut too short.

Crap like Buffy The Vampire slayer, they air for an unecesary amount of seasons. But stuff like Firefly with huge amounts of potential they kill before it could even walk properly... Morons.

The mortal kombat conquest show that ran during the ninties.

Basically all the heros got killed (they where going to be revived in the next series), but guess what? THERE WAS NO NEW SERIES. so its pretty much cannon that they all got killed (not cannon in the games obviously)

THE SERIES WAS BRILLIANT AND SHOULDNT HAVE STOPPED EVAR UNTIL SOMEONE COULD PROVIDE ME WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT THAT THEY MATCHED LIGHT YAGAMI IN INTELLECT, AND LOGICAL PROWESS. HE FUCKING DEFEATS THE WORLDS GREATEST DETECTIVE IN A MATTER OF MONTHS, BUT THEN SOME FUCKING KID COMES ALONG AND BEATS HIM LIKE THAT? FUCK THAT. MAKE LIGHT COME BACK AND FUCK MORE SHIT UP!

Zoids, (Megas XLR I think), Stargate Atlantis and Stargate although Stargate's ending opened it up for 2 movies so that is ok.

Also the biggest one ever Firefly.

So I just finished watching Love Hina in it's entirety
I watched the Christmas Special, I watched the spring special, I watched the Final Selection, and I watched Love Hina Again

and at the end I thought... what in the hell?
is there something I missed
Where is the next episode?

it appeared like they got cancelled in the middle of a season
but no, it ended there in ambiguity like Halo 2

so what game/series/movie that ended to quickly for you?
i completely agree, my best friend lent me the series and i got to the end and just though, huh? It was a good series and a half though haha.

Another series would be (someone mentioned it in another thread) fresh prince. The ending to that was so abrupt gah.

I dunno Love Hina was Fry's dead dog sad, I mean I don't think there was a difference in feelings from anybody from like the 5th episode till the end

Firefly. I reckon it could have been epic for at least four seasons, but alas, there was only one. The good thing about it, it can now be watched in a day!

I love the actor that plays Mr. Teatime
creepiest character ever, he based it on Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka
