Firefly, and I don't care that I've been ninja'd at least five times (possibly more), because Firefly is the ultimate example of this. Otherwise, Pushing Daisies, I absolutely loved that show and it was getting rave reviews and a huge audience in the US and here in the UK, and then they just drop it for no apparent reason? With a cliffhanger? WTF?

To a lesser extent the UK series Britannia High and Spooks: Code 9 were both dropped before their time, although admittedly the former was aimed more at the teenage market and the latter was merely a spinoff of the ultimately better Spooks, although I still enjoyed Spooks: Code 9 immensely.

I dunno Love Hina was Fry's dead dog sad, I mean I don't think there was a difference in feelings from anybody from like the 5th episode till the end
I really like your avater, sorry that it is not on topic but it had to be said.

I love the actor that plays Mr. Teatime
creepiest character ever, he based it on Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka
Oh yes indeed, Hogfather was awesome, just like your avatar. Much better than The Colour of Magic, I feel, although that was still pretty damn good. I just wonder what will happen if they do an adaptation where Rincewind and Albert meet each other (i.e. Soul Music, please correct me if that's the wrong one)...

EDIT: Double post, apologies...

Starship Troopers: Roughnecks, A kids cartoon that was better than the crappy movie.
Megas XLR: Who doesn't like giant robots?
Invader Zim: Nickelodeon wanted a dark edgy cartoon, they got Jhonen Vasquez to do it (whose other works include "Johnny the Little Homicidal Maniac") later ditched because it was too dark.

Dresden Files, only got one season before it was canceled.
Shame really, I liked that show.
Have you ever read the books? In my opinion, they're much better.

And I really have to agree with Firefly. I never watched it until recently, but it was a brilliant show.
Never read the books, but I was aware they existed.

I think Scrubs.

It seems like as the end JD's
Just imagining what he would like to happen rather what will actually happen. What's stopping Elliot dumping him again?

Inuyasha of course, but its coming back in a year or so to finish the story. Many anime's do that.

In terms of non anime...Moonlight. GG CBS.

Berserk, it's a shame were they left it. 25 episodes and thats it, for an old anime it's brilliant.

Firefly. Yes, at least I got resolution with the movie, but I really wanted so much more out of that setting. And, while I'm at it can I get a quality MMO set in the Firefly universe? I'll stand in line to buy it and everything.

Stargate Atlantis and Star Trek Enterprise. Both of them ended on a high-note, but unfortunately those notes included lot of lead-ins into territory which would've brought both shows closer to their source material (SG-1 and TNG respectively) and would've probably improved both to the public eye.

Speaking of anime, I thought Elfen Lied ended rather abruptly.
I was quite disappointed when it ended.
But I suppose that is a sign of a good show, that ur sad when it ends.

Firefly. That series was canceled out of the blue, and it was such a fantastic series.

They tried to make up for the ambiguous ending by making the movie Serenity, which was good at wrapping it all up, but equate for more of a series.
