Firefly: well they could have kept this one going a lot longer
They could have, ya know, shown the episodes in the correct order. Or not forced them to write and film a new pilot in a week (Trainjob is the episode that started it off, not the pilot). Or not put it in the Friday Night Death Slot (and removed it from viewing when BASEBALL came on).

FOX killed the show, plain and simple. Oh, and it gets better! They are now starting a NEW Space-Western. Browncoats are NOT happy.

Having just this moment finished watching the last ova for Hunter x Hunter i'd have to say that.

non anime I would have liked more Stargate: Atlantis
yes i was like wtf so he just sees his dad and its like BAM!THE END, of course if they hadn't came out with those Ova's there would be a few less Japanese executives on this day.

EDIT:
You know what? scratch that. Ive got a series I want to see picked up again, Air Gear. What the fuck? it ends in it second season without even a proper close out, it just kind of stopped. What the hell? The manga is awesome, there is no doubt but I would like to see Kururu animated. Its just... ahhh! it frustrates me.
omfg i loved air gear and they just had to cut it he had just became the big boss dude like 5 episodes earlier.
also i will miss
-Souleater
-Hellsing
-full metal alchemist(but atleast they made brotherhood)
-Kaze no stigma
-BASQUASH!(it just feels like there about to end it and im not ready)
-desert punk
-Eden of the east(though it was still a good ending none the less)
-to aru majutsu no index(they better not decide to quite on that continuation series)
and if they ever decide to end the never ending story that is one piece it will immediately be put on this list(there at 417 as of today)

I'm gonna say Firefly, it was an amazing show that ended way too fast. I hate FOX...

I completely agree with you. They didn't even kill Lan Di. >:[

Mine would have to be Futurama. Thankfully its coming back.
YES! Shenmue! Also, I seem to be the only one who remembers this, but anyone heard of a series on Sky One called Threshold? It was about first contact with Earth and instead of invading, the aliens use a signal to manipulate human DNA, slowly turning us into them, thereby instantly colonizing? It ended on such a cliff hanger...

Stargate Atlantis and Stargate SG-1.
Yes the were 5 and 10 seasons long, respectively, and they were both planned endings because the writers got tired, but they were awesome. They should have run for a million bajillion shows.

... I know, no one's ever heard of it. Got cancelled halfway through.

Death Note, yeah, that either ended too abruptly, or went on for way too many episodes after it should have ended.

Zombie Loan - All of a sudden they rushed it to end in 12 episode. It had kind of a decent thing going and then it just seemed to give up.

Also, Invader Zim. Can't believe that show was canceled. It was so fantastic.

Zatch Bell. The anime ended fairly quickly with only 150 episodes, while the manga went on and on. However, I think the anime might have been better, because it didn't really draw things out for an unnecessary period of time.

Argueably Half Life with these waits.

As for a series, my friend keeps telling me Sarah Connor Chronicles ended too suddenly.

Mx0. It was a fantastic manga that took on the whole idea of magic in a new, fresh sense. Characters were lovable, plot was interesting and it was just all around great,

But it wasn't doing so well in Japan so it got canned around chapter 100. A shame for two reasons. The author had enough story to keep it interesting for at least 100 more chapters instead of axing it with a ridiculous abrupt ending like he was told too and because we still have manga like Bleach running where nothing has really happened for 100 chapters.

It's a damn shame.

Inuyasha. That was the most WTF ending ever.
woah there. inuyasha actually ended? as in the manga or the anime?
The anime did not end the story, but the manga does have a conclusion though around Volume 57 I think. Look it up on Wiki if you want to know the ending. Cheers! :)
