Stargate SG-1 sure it was on for years, and years, but they ended series 10 with lots of loose ends. The last episode was really good, but it didn't tie anything up. I'm glad they made the movies, but I would have liked to have another series to tie it up properly.

Farscape also ended on a huge cliffhanger, and later someone decided to, you know, finish the story, but it took ages.

Croc: Legend Of The Gobbos and Croc 2 was gems of games but they just ended it at 2 when he finds his parents. I WANT A TRILOGY!

the Series "Life" and Life on Mars US, generic mainstream i know... but i liked them. Life on Mars was horribly rushed to finish and Life just seemed to Stop

Tenjho Tenge. That doesn't count as an ending.

They end it in a cliffhanger basically saying "Yeah, we're gonna fight in that tournament!".. The End. No tournament, no nothing.

Rurouni Kenshin. Maybe the manga ended better than the anime, but I hated the ending (of the anime).

I'm gonna say, megas XLR, firefly, Roughnecks, Black books and also Enterprise, it could have been good if they didn't end up trying to fit in all this continuity in the last season. AN finally batman of the future was awesome and hen it just sorta disappeared

From reading all the post it's tie between Fox and Japan when it comes to breaking are hearts.

Dino Crisis... you might of hated it, but I liked it.
+1 on that

But Arrested Development the TV series as well as being criminally under appreciated and abused by Fox it clearly had at least another two season in it and the third and final series only had half the normal number of episodes.

In gaming, what the hell happened to Hitman? Blood Money was so freaking good but it has barely done anything for this generation. Assassin's Creed doesn't hold a candle to the true ultimate assassin; Agent 47.

Twin Peaks. You could tell there was supposed to be a third season.
Regardless, the finale was brilliant.

ATTENTION: "SPOILERS".

The mortal kombat conquest show that ran during the ninties.

Basically all the heros got killed (they where going to be revived in the next series), but guess what? THERE WAS NO NEW SERIES. so its pretty much cannon that they all got killed (not cannon in the games obviously)
My favorite finale in TV ever lol. When was there a series ever when the entire cast of protagonists get killed off simultaneously?

Exo Squad, it was a poorly animated American cartoon from the 90s. What it lacked in animation it doubled in storyline and character development. It was the first American cartoon I noticed characters actually dying or be dragged off screen to their deaths.
Humankind's genetically engineered "slaves" revolt and enslave humankind. Exo Squad started was about the liberation of humankind and finding a peace with those we created. Season 2 ends with some peace attained but a new menace of alien invaders may force the two species to set aside their prejudices against a common foe.
Great stuff but unfortunately the show got canceled after Season 2.

There's a myspace page that has all the episodes for your viewing pleasure.

Firefly and Dark Angel, both axed by the abundantly adorable airheads at Fox.

Also, space, Above and Beyond.
