Well it's that time of year again: It's practically Halloween almost time for E3! So I figure now is as good a time as any to make a thread about what our expectations, our best-case scenarios, our worst-case scenarios and, our minimal expectations for E3 2015 happen to be. So far there are a lot of safe bets when it comes to what's going to be announced and discussed at E3 but I'm still curious to hear what everybody else thinks is going to go down at this year's event. So, here's how I think things are going to go down.
Bethesda is going to host their first press conference this year! So it's safe to assume they're going to at least announce Fallout 4 and publicly show off gameplay footage of Doom 4. This is predictable however so I'm going to go on a limb and make a wild-card prediction: True Skyrim or, Skyrim: Game of the Generation Edition on the PS4 and Xbox One. Another option would be The Complete Elder Scrolls collected and put onto the PS4/Xbox One.
As for random, miscellaneous reveals, I'm sure some kind of Amiibo announcement will be made and I would be surprised if we don't see some kind of Souls collection for the PS4/Xbox One.
Ya know what I would hate to see for this year's E3? A cavalcade of remakes and remasterings from the previous console generation. I would also hate to see awesome new games announced this year only to later find that these awesome new games are going to be on last gen consoles as well.
Ya know what I'd love to see for this year's E3? A true unification of the Virtual Console: Everything from the Wii, 3DS, Wii U, Japan, Europe, USA being unified and available on the Wii U, the upcoming NX and, New 3DSXL (and 3DS depending on what you're trying to download I guess, I can see this one truly being limited). I want to see an unexpected 3rd-party property coming to the Wii U as well, something like Civilization U or, Cities: Skylines U. I want to see new IPs that will only be on either the PS4/Xbox One as well since I have so few reasons to upgrade at the moment. I want to see the reveal of a special edition Final Fantasy XV PS4 and a Crackdown 3 Xbox One. more than anything, I want to see a Wii U with more than 100GB of memory and, a PS4/Xbox One with at least 1TB. I want Driver: Speed-Boat Adventure to be renamed to Hydro Thunder dammit!! It's PLAINLY Hydro Thunder!!!
So if you made it this far, what about you? What are your predictions? What are your worst-case scenarios for E3? What are you wildest fantasies for what could be?

On the Microsoft side, I think we're well overdue for some gameplay footage of Crackdown 3 which I would assume can be more of a killer app than Halo 5 (which we will DEFINITELY see, hopefully campaign footage and definitely a rough release time-frame). Halo 3:ODST Remastered will be shown off too. We're also really, REALLY overdue for more details on Quantum Break which I'm assuming we'll at least see gameplay for. If not then I would consider this one to be cancelled. As for a wildcard announcement: I would guess that the Mass Effect trilogy could be announced as coming to next gen consoles but the Xbox One getting some extra perks or, if nothing else, a timed exclusivity deal. After the announcement of Darksiders 2 on next-gen consoles, I'm willing to assume that anything that launched on the PS3/X360 could be next for an upgrade.
When it comes to Sony...I actually have no idea outside of God of War 3 remastered, Uncharted 4 and Phantom Pain footage. As a wildcard, I think it would be pretty wild to see Titanfall 2's reveal trailer shown off during Sony's press conference. I think it would also be a bit of a safe bet to see something like the God of War collection, the Jak & Daxter collection, the Sly collection, etc updated to include their PS3 games and then further upgraded to play on the PS4. Another major wildcard would be a sequel to Sony's All-Star Battle Royal.
Nintendo is always a wildcard at these press events and I'm honestly a bit surprised that we haven't had a Nintendo Direct since January. At this point it also seems odd to me that we haven't seen too much footage of Yarn Yoshi in such a long time but I'm sure we'll get a release window for this at least, as well as release windows for Star Fox U and Zelda U (along with proper subtitles for the later). A solid release date for Splatoon and, Xenoblade Chronicles X should also be announced. We won't hear anything more about the NX this year but I'm sure there will be more N3DSXL colors announced if not at E3 than shortly before or after the main Direct. When it comes to wildcards...It's Nintendo...they're really unpredictable as it is but I think it would be funny to see something like an AR photo-app released to iOS and Android
