Well it's that time of year again: It's practically Halloween almost time for E3! So I figure now is as good a time as any to make a thread about what our expectations, our best-case scenarios, our worst-case scenarios and, our minimal expectations for E3 2015 happen to be. So far there are a lot of safe bets when it comes to what's going to be announced and discussed at E3 but I'm still curious to hear what everybody else thinks is going to go down at this year's event. So, here's how I think things are going to go down.

Bethesda is going to host their first press conference this year! So it's safe to assume they're going to at least announce Fallout 4 and publicly show off gameplay footage of Doom 4. This is predictable however so I'm going to go on a limb and make a wild-card prediction: True Skyrim or, Skyrim: Game of the Generation Edition on the PS4 and Xbox One. Another option would be The Complete Elder Scrolls collected and put onto the PS4/Xbox One.

On the Microsoft side, I think we're well overdue for some gameplay footage of Crackdown 3 which I would assume can be more of a killer app than Halo 5 (which we will DEFINITELY see, hopefully campaign footage and definitely a rough release time-frame). Halo 3:ODST Remastered will be shown off too. We're also really, REALLY overdue for more details on Quantum Break which I'm assuming we'll at least see gameplay for. If not then I would consider this one to be cancelled. As for a wildcard announcement: I would guess that the Mass Effect trilogy could be announced as coming to next gen consoles but the Xbox One getting some extra perks or, if nothing else, a timed exclusivity deal. After the announcement of Darksiders 2 on next-gen consoles, I'm willing to assume that anything that launched on the PS3/X360 could be next for an upgrade.

When it comes to Sony...I actually have no idea outside of God of War 3 remastered, Uncharted 4 and Phantom Pain footage. As a wildcard, I think it would be pretty wild to see Titanfall 2's reveal trailer shown off during Sony's press conference. I think it would also be a bit of a safe bet to see something like the God of War collection, the Jak & Daxter collection, the Sly collection, etc updated to include their PS3 games and then further upgraded to play on the PS4. Another major wildcard would be a sequel to Sony's All-Star Battle Royal.

Nintendo is always a wildcard at these press events and I'm honestly a bit surprised that we haven't had a Nintendo Direct since January. At this point it also seems odd to me that we haven't seen too much footage of Yarn Yoshi in such a long time but I'm sure we'll get a release window for this at least, as well as release windows for Star Fox U and Zelda U (along with proper subtitles for the later). A solid release date for Splatoon and, Xenoblade Chronicles X should also be announced. We won't hear anything more about the NX this year but I'm sure there will be more N3DSXL colors announced if not at E3 than shortly before or after the main Direct. When it comes to wildcards...It's Nintendo...they're really unpredictable as it is but I think it would be funny to see something like an AR photo-app released to iOS and Android

As for random, miscellaneous reveals, I'm sure some kind of Amiibo announcement will be made and I would be surprised if we don't see some kind of Souls collection for the PS4/Xbox One.

Ya know what I would hate to see for this year's E3? A cavalcade of remakes and remasterings from the previous console generation. I would also hate to see awesome new games announced this year only to later find that these awesome new games are going to be on last gen consoles as well.

Ya know what I'd love to see for this year's E3? A true unification of the Virtual Console: Everything from the Wii, 3DS, Wii U, Japan, Europe, USA being unified and available on the Wii U, the upcoming NX and, New 3DSXL (and 3DS depending on what you're trying to download I guess, I can see this one truly being limited). I want to see an unexpected 3rd-party property coming to the Wii U as well, something like Civilization U or, Cities: Skylines U. I want to see new IPs that will only be on either the PS4/Xbox One as well since I have so few reasons to upgrade at the moment. I want to see the reveal of a special edition Final Fantasy XV PS4 and a Crackdown 3 Xbox One. more than anything, I want to see a Wii U with more than 100GB of memory and, a PS4/Xbox One with at least 1TB. I want Driver: Speed-Boat Adventure to be renamed to Hydro Thunder dammit!! It's PLAINLY Hydro Thunder!!!

So if you made it this far, what about you? What are your predictions? What are your worst-case scenarios for E3? What are you wildest fantasies for what could be?

I am really hoping they reveal information about TES: VI, but Fallout 4 is more likely.

While I see Fallout 4 as being a very feasible revelation at E3, I think any remake/remaster of previous Elder Scrolls games is something we're not likely to see, especially nothing prior to Oblivion. Due to the mod community, keeping these games alive and modern has been well in hand by the dedicated community, and I doubt Bethesda would waste man-hours just graphically updating their older games for modern consoles.

If Bethesda doesn't reveal Fallout 4, I will burn their offices to the ground.

Other than that, I feel like someone is going to reveal something really fucking stupid and act like every gamer, everywhere is going to flip with joy. Like Microsoft will announce their re-launching a new form of Games for Windows Live and act like PC gamers should be ecstatic.

Half Life 3 will still not be announced, and people will still be disappointed by this fact.

I predict Sony spending an hour talking about how awesome they are for selling, like, 20 million PS4's already. I suspect equel business nonsense from Microsoft, mixed in with more sports and TV apps. A lot of charts and clips of people smiling while using their products.

Sony will release some more footage of Uncharted 4 and No Man's Sky which will all look awesome but not really tell you anything about the games.

Ubisoft will announce yet another Assassins Creed even though this years version is not even out yet and will still not announce Beyond Good and Evil 2.

Sony and Microsoft will announce that every game ever released for the PS3 and Xbox360 to be re-released on PS4 and Xbox 1 because we all know that's what they want to do as it saves them the effort making new games for this generation of consoles or making their consoles backwards compatible.

Nintendo will announce a console which is controlled by wiggling your eyebrows.

I wonder whether Halo 5 will also feature gameplay footage that didn't end in the final game, too. Still, they best had hype the fuck out of ODST remastered, even though I'm pretty sure that I'm getting it for free because of the MCC disaster I barely noticed.

I'm expecting more info on Rise of the Tomb Raider to combat Uncharted 4. The more I think of either of those games the more of a prick I become, but I think it's wonderful that poor Uncharted is being released at a similar time of the sequel to the game that made its entire series redundant. At least TR'13 came out over a year after Uncharted 3.

Well, all except character wise. Seriously, if the developers can actually put some decent characters into their Tomb Raider reboot, they'll have something really good going. Also, please change Lara Croft's voice actress -- Those effort/struggle noises make me wanna strangle kittens.

Given that most of TR'13's cast is dead, they'll probably try and put effort into the new cast this time 'round. Sadly LC will probably sound the same (though granted I feel equal contempt for LC and Nathan Drake).

The gameplay and visuals are great already, they've no excuse this time 'round.

I predict we'll get a release date for Kingdom Hearts 3, RARE will unveil a new Conker game and CA will release a trailer for Total: Warhammer.

More KH3 is my most realistic hope, but I'm not holding my breath for a hard release date. They only recently changed their engine, so I'm guessing 2016 at the earliest. Maybe showing a few worlds or a basic plot? I think only Twilight Town has been confirmed in early gameplay shots. I know there was a secret movie clip that was shown to some fans at a Disney park event (meant to promote KH2.5 HD. I think Nomura was there), but it hasn't been publicly released.

Maybe the ex-Rare guys will be showing off their new platformer? Maybe not in the major press show, but a booth?

A new Sly Cooper would be nice, but Sanzaru Games confirmed they're not on board (which is a damn shame because of the CLIFFHANGER at the end of Sly 4).

New Assassin's Creed, because of course.

BGAE2 would be nice, but that's wishful thinking.

Also, I'm taking a list of people who want to sacrifice virgins under the full moon to appease the gods and bring us The Last Guardian. I need to know how many so I can bring enough chairs and pretzels. I'll be ok with a testimonial from Team Ico's coffee guy bringing a few screenshots or concept sketches on a napkin.

Well, I'm hoping for some news on Kingdom Hearts 3, but we all know that that particular game is nothing more than a myth, and only the physical working copy in my PS4 is going to change my mind.

I'd like some Fallout 4. I'd like Final Fantasy 12 HD. But what I predict...

A new Assassin's Creed. A new GTA? Uncharted 4?

I'm praying on my knees for a Hitman 6 announcement, but Fallout 4 would be second on my list for announcements I want.

I expect MS and Sony to yet again stuff their presentations full of meaningless trailers from 3rd parties or rehearsed gameplay sequences, for them to keep trying to sell their systems that thus far don't have much to play on, for journalists to gush about a bunch of stuff that probably won't live up to expectations, for Nintendo to be completely mysterious and surprise us, and for gamers to make unrealistic expectations and throw hissy fits when those expectations aren't realized. As is every E3

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that Rock Band will have forced Activision to swiftly put together a new Guitar Hero so I wouldn't be surprised to see announcements (and some kind of teaser or preview) for both. It can go a few ways though...

Best case scenario: Rock Band will be able to utilize all past instruments and DLC but will also have 150+ songs on disc. I say 150+ because of Theatrhythm, which has 200+ and was on a handheld so I don't see any reason for a next-gen music game to not be able to match a handheld game...but I lowered the number because of the production values of the one over the other. Everyone can buy a version of the game with instruments if they don't have those instruments. The backwards-compatibility is all-but confirmed already. As for Guitar Hero, we'll see a surprisingly polished preview for a game that also boasts over a hundred new tracks. Like with the new Rock Band, I would love to see a new Guitar Hero let players use their old instruments and DLC across all consoles that offered up that DLC. The Wii U will be left out when it comes to the DLC but will at least get the new Guitar Hero. Another cool thing to see would be announcements that second titles are being worked on for each; I've given up on Rock Band Japan but something like Rock Band: Led Zepplin and Guitar Hero: Rock Opera or something along those lines. Ledd Zepplin would be self-explanitory but Rock Opera would be something that focuses on songs like Keeper of the Seven Keys, 2112, Stairway to Heaven and, other songs that are 10+ minutes long. Finally, solid release dates for each main game would be the icing on an amazing hype-cake. If either game is announced with the opening chords of Stairway to Heaven, that would be absolutely fantastic on its own.

Happy Medium: What has already been revealed about Rock Band is confirmed to be true: backwards compatibility with past instruments and, DLC. Other than that, a teaser made up of pre-rendered cutscenes and maybe a handful of featured tracks would be expected. A release window would also be expected and could make for a satisfying reveal. If Activision were to announce Guitar Hero that would also be great. A new game on next-gen consoles, a new game on all current consoles (including Wii U) Another acceptable Guitar Hero announcement would be that the next game in the series is exclusive to mobile platforms BUT is essentially just a rip-off of Audiosurf whereby any music you have on your phone or, mobile device can be used in the new game. Again, a new Guitar Hero announcement would be nice but I wouldn't expect anything beyond a "coming 2015" when it comes to a release date.

Worst case scenario: We get a handful of clockwork presenters on stage who are programmed to be having 'fun' playing along to something new by Nickleback who will be providing their new album to everyone who buys a new copy of Rock Band. The demo will skip in some way to prove that the automatons are doing a Milly-Vanilly. There is no word on backwards compatibility, there is no word on the number of tracks on disc but, the presenter will refer to the new Rock Band as, 'an exciting new platform and the new face of a la cart gaming'. There will be no mention of a new Guitar Hero by Activision. There will be no Stairway to Heaven, no Helloween and, no Rush. If there is any Guitar Hero news it'll just be to expect a remastered Guitar Hero collection; GH1 - 3 on the PS4 and Xbox One.

I think there will be an abundance of WWII game announcements. Everyone and their pet turtle wants their favorite FPS to go WWII, at least until they realize that we just got sick of WWII games last gen and the cycle will repeat. Someone should really think of a new setting for FPS games that's not modern, World War, or the future.

Oh, and Sony will announce and brag about their latest update for the PS4, which I have to admit I am excited for. My stupid Asian PS4 will no longer fuck me up with its ridiculous system control scheme.

Best-case scenario: I only watch the Nintendo conference...
Worst-case scenario: I question Spike's coverage of E3... again...

Expectations: Fangasming out of unexpectations... (and more Kingdom Hearts!)
