Ahh memories.

Alot of this information is out of date. Stormrise came and went unspectacular, Batman and Dark Void got pushed back, Prototype and Infamous and Demigod released to decent reviews, and we know a whole lot more about Section 8.

Information on Singularity, I am Alive, and Alpha Protocol remains more or less unchanged, though I think Alpha Protocol is drawing close to it's release. Lets hope Obsidian can break it's "We're Biowares uglier cousin" curse this time. I'll be updating the roundup post by removing released games. Also Batman, because it gets released soon and EVERYONE has heard the mega hype push they've been having, they don't need anything more from me.

Star Wars: The Old Republic
Developer: Bioware/LucasArts
Platforms: PC
Release Date: ???

Do I really even need to say anything? It's a new Star Wars MMO by Bioware, goddamn. Admittedly alot of us were pissed we were getting an MMO instead of a proper Knights of the Old Republic. There is after all, already a (crappy) starwars MMO, and we didn't see how it could work.

Bioware showed off 20 mins of in game footage at GC yesterday. My pants are still wet.

Enough talk, to the schmex.

Global Agenda
Developer: Hi-Rez
Console: PC
Release Date: Late 09(?)

...

Global Agenda is what you get when Risk and Quake have a baby, and you let World of Warcraft raise it. A supposed action based Shooter MMO, Global Agenda has you fighting real time in strike teams of 4 to 10 for hexagoncal pieces of persistant land for bonus's to your Agency (guild).

I JUST found out about this game today and it got me excited enough to do an update. Big budget games often talk alot of smack about doing something really different or bringing action into the MMO, but this quiet title built on the unreal engine by an independent developer actually looks poised to do it.

The game will have 4 main classes split into the Tank, Rogue, Cleric, and whatever the hell the Technician is archetypes. Each of which you can customize with various skill tree's or specs to create subclasses. In this way you can take an assault character and spec him for heavy artillery, tanking, or even melee. Oh, and it has JETPACKS and GRAPPLING HOOKS.

Pretty no? The older images no so much, things seem to have underdone a serious art change at some point.

...

I can't really tell you much that Hi-Rez isn't trying to already, so lets just let the video's speak for themselves and give you this FAQ report from their website.

Other stuff you might wanna add to the Rocktober list:

Saw (might be good, might be a steaming pile of crap)
Uncharted 2
Fallout 3: GOTY Edition
Borderlands (This one, I demand be added.)
Chinatown Wars (PSP version)
DJ Hero (same as Saw game)
The Ballad of Gay Tony DLC as well as the Episodes From Liberty City disc
Tekken 6
Ratchet And Clank Future: A Crack In Time

And don't even get me started on November. SO MUCH GAME, SO LITTLE CASH.

EDIT: Also, for the LOVE OF GOD, SPOILERS PLEASE. You've got so much content up.

The problem is most of those games have already been released, or those are just DLC's. Crack in Time and Saw are a possibility.

This, Singularity, and Dark Void... ZOMG... I was beginning to feel like I would be bombarded by nothing but sequels in the future. These look fantastic!

I love how in the Alpha Protocol trailer it looks really cool, but fails to show the embarrassingly bad character animations during combat...

Ah, Saboteur. Sneak in, blast out. I believe X-Play did a segment on that one.

Anywho, no Borderlands? I thought it looked rather promising.

Cool.

... Though, now I'm wondering what the purpose of me typing up a preview for the bloody thing was. Oh well, it'll be interesting to see another take on the subject.

Global Agenda is on pre-ordered discount on Steam! Furthermore, pre-ordering gets you into Beta! Which, THIS close to launch? Is probably like a demo :D

AHM IN!
