My mom spilt water on my Macbook Pro yesterday
I was in the shower and when i got out she told me that very little got on it and that she wiped it up immediatly.
My battery was dead at the time, and now my charger wont charge it. I thought it was a broken charger since the wires were threaded, so i sent my dad out to go buy a new one. When he got home the new one didnt work either.

Since yesterday night Ive had my mbp upside down with the screen uopen with the battery taken out, both in front of a fan.

What am I supposed to do? It wont charge and turn on!
Ive never had anything like this happen before, so im new to what to do :/

CANNIBALISM!

...wait, no, that won't help. At all.

Just find an Apple Store near you and bring it in for service. I hope you have an Applecare Warranty..when my Macbook was malfunctioning, I brought it to them, and they fixed it within like an hour.

I would hope you have a warranty on it, and if so take it to get fixed at an apple store or send it in to get fixed.

If water got on the right parts it could have shorted something out.

I don't know, but that sounds pretty crappy. Try asking the guys at the place you bought it / them?

Are you sure? Not even a little cannibalism?

Apple tends to be pretty good about tech support, so just take it to an Apple Store, it should be fine.

Unless you touched the CRTL key while it was off. You didn't do that, did you?

What

The

Fuck?

Your expensive Macbook wouldn't work so your dad went out and bought you a new one??

Nothing tragic here; you have preposterous amounts of money lying around.
The charger, not the Macbook.

Gypsy curse, I tell you!

Have you tried drying your old machine? Some times water causes short circuits, but they may not always be "lethal" to the system.

It's a blessing in disguise. You'll thank your mother for it, believe me.

Now's your chance! Go forth, and buy a real laptop! Experience the wonder!

He better not have, that sets it bomb mode.
Not to mention that, depending on what you had on the Macbook, you could get anything from a firecracker to miniature supernova.

Yes, the wonders of Windows Vista... I bought a Windows laptop when my macbook bit the dust. It runs slower, has a shorter battery life and occasionally does stupid shit like deciding that I need to approve my approval of a program. It took me 5 hours to yank the bloatware and google bollocks off the thing, and it still runs like a cow.

I know most people don't like Macs, but when it comes to the Macbook your only gripe is the cost, because it just kicks copious amounts of ass at everything else.

Also, Applecare is awesome and it will solve your problems and cure the cancer you never knew you had.

You didn't need to install it but you needed to register it to your macbook
