I loved FF-10-2.

FF13 just had bad characters, but I thought everything else was pretty decent. 12 suffered from the opposite, decent characters, bad everything else. Except for that really awesome opening sequence where its like Star Wars meets Lord of the Rings.

It's as standard as this crap goes, and, CHRIST, in a genre already full of cliches... Thats not even trying! I guess it is ok for anime fans. Since anime is 3.5 stories + new hairdo from time to time. Oh, wait. JRPGs are also like that! Guess you have to be Japanese or a retard... Oh, wait, Otaku, is it? To get into this.

No, but you should at least have an interest in the FF series if you want to contribute. It's clearly a thread for fans of the series.

My interest fell off sharply after VI, really. X was the last playable one, in my opinion.

Well they've fallen into the graphics trap now. The games have to look beautiful because that's the tone they've set for this generation, but it doesn't leave much for anything else.

The days of expansive environments and hulking 70 hour RPGs are gone, at least for mainstream consoles anyway.
