I see a lot of german hate on these forums. I considered these forums to be relatively mature, yet I see so much historical fails.

It is indeed commom belief, that the Germans were responsible for both WW1 and 2.

I think it is very hypocrite to think ONLY the germans were responsible for those wars, and also very naive to think Germany was the only country in europe with jew hate around WW2. France was worse, but the lost, so they couldn't help it.

And most of all, it wasn't like all germans are nazi's. Better yet, almost all the country's they conquered had a lot of nazi-germany sympathisers.

And, no, I am not German, I am a Dutch history student.

Of course Germany wasn't the ONLY cause of World War II, it was just their invasion of Poland which started it, and their war with mainland Europe which mostly perpetrated it, and, er...yeah, exactly who else? Fascist Italy I suppose.

As for WWI, again, it wasn't entirely Germany but it was mostly Germany.

And I'm fairly certain no-one believes all Germans were or are Nazis.

I am German (well my mother is).
and well Germany was responsible for WW1 and 2 although 2 was more like a reaction to WW1 (every ball that falls will bounce before it falls again). And mosst of the germans in WW2 had a "opinion" jews, My grandfather says that they dindn't knew better
"If you where poor,hungry and lost brothers in WW1 you bet you'll walk with the right hand in the air".

So what you are saying isn't entirely true but in some sence it is.
(I am also dutch but my mother is 100% German and I have learned both sides of this WW-coin)

There are not much German hate on this forum. Much more of the French and American hate, anyway... Most people have put past events behind them, and no civilized modern man would generalize Germans as nazi's...

I don't know anyone who seriously believes that every German is a Nazi, or hates every German person because of the Wars.

I don't see as much German hate on these forums as you seem to, I'd say there is an equal amount of hate directed at everyone, and its mostly internet hate (ie: not serious, spoken in a relatively consequence free environment).

WW2 pretty much sparked off when the Germans invaded Poland, which completely shattered the policy of Appeasement the British had been following since Hitler came to power, in that the UK decided not to just sit around any more and actually take offensive action against Germany. Hitler's lust for land was the catalyst for World War 2, so I think it's fair to blame Germany for that.

You are literally blaming GERMANY for the actions of ONE, being hitler.

Sure he had followers, but all charismatic people get followers. Combine that with a smart minister of Propaganda, and you indoctrinate an entire people

If Obama decides to create a law, then the senators can veto it if they find it won't go well. Obama doesn't have supreme power. That's why people say "The government sucks". It has to go through a few more people

I do agree that it was a questionable comparison by me.. I am not quite capable in english yet.

But my point is, He WAS indeed a fascist ruler, but you can NOT blame the germans.

He would have gotten votes etc. in any country. He was a gifted politician, combined with strong parnters and ministers.

Really the cause was a Siberian assassin, France and Britain's ally, who killed Franz Ferdinand causing Austria-Hungary to retaliate, which made Russia attack them, German and Italy then came to their ally's defence which France into it. Germany then invaded Belgium to get to France. Which caused Britain to get involved. Many people look at WW2 as Germany getting revenge for the unfair peace treaty they were forced to sign. So you could say WW1 caused WW2. or you could just say Nazis are the embodiment of evil because they are the most racist and violent people you have heard of.

Germans affect 80 million people who live peaceful east of holland.
