I'll vote for Elsweyr, but if they do that they might as well put Valenwood in too. There's a heavy amount of strife between the two regions.

what about Akavir? I would like to see a more eastern TES game.
or maybe one of the moons before they died.

Summerset, that was my second choice to Skyrim before it was announced. I want to see where those damn high elves live!

It would be cool to have an Elder Scrolls game set in Yokuda or the Summerset Isles. Something off the mainland. That way you could do away with those arbitrary borders.

I think black marsh would be the most interesting for me. Mostly because Ive always been cruious about the argonian's and I want to see what their culture is like. Then again and HD Morrowind could be interesting but I have to admit I want that because I have so many fond memories of ES3. The other races just havnt interested me much so I have little interest to see their parts of the world

So Im going to go with black marsh at this point in time.

Yes, like I said earlier I would love to see them play out a desert terrain with dunes, mountains, Savannah, springs... Awesome. Get away from the British landscape.
Hmm I don't know if I'd describe the settings as particularly British... I guess Cyrodil had that "Anywhere in Europe" sort of feel to it and was a bit generic. Skyrim on the other hand probably has more in common with places like Norway or perhaps New Zealand rather than Britain. Unless you're thinking of Scotland, which I could see the similarities with... although there were sadly no giants or mammoths last time I was there! :p

Yes, exactly. Scotland has high snowy mountain ranges. Skyrim is Scotland. Minus the Dragons. And Mammoths. And Trolls. And pure distilled Awesomeness.

Just had a thought. Seeing as Elsweyr have recently broken away from the Empire, maybe the Imperials could do something along the lines of funding rebels or whatever who want to return to the Empire, and then the Elves would fund those who want things to stay as they are, thereby causing a proxy war situation but not starting anything massive so that the area is still playable.

Also, from what I've read about Elsweyr, there are tiger-like creatures in jungles, which suggests to me a sort of Indian jungle enviroment in places (though granted there's lots of desert).

I'd be interested in that sorta muck.

Can't we just have all of Tamriel, like in Arena?

Otherwise, I miss the deserts and the jungles in Arena/Daggerfall :(

Well, how about....damn that was Morrowind huh? Well, I want more Dwemer ruins. I would say lets go back in time to when they were still alive but then that would take away some of the mystery.

Someplace where there isn't snow everywhere... give me a jungle or tropical island anyday of the week, just enough with the arctic tundra stuff.

(Valenwood sounds pretty good)

I'd like an Elder Scrolls game where we can visit more than one Provence. I think having a game in both Black Marsh and continental Morrowind would be nice, since we only got to see the Vvardenfell district in TES III and it would also give a TES game in Black Marsh some much-needed variety from having just swamplands and marshes to explore.

I've discussed this many times with a friend of mine, and we've both concluded a brilliant strategy in order to expand the world size and variety of the next Elder Scrolls game.

Each Elder Scrolls sequel has always expanded on the size of the province of the previous game, ensuring a much larger world to explore. Hell, on that map, you can clearly see that Cyrodiil is much larger than Skyrim, but why don't you ask someone who explored both which is the larger landmass? Cyrodiil is the largest province in Tamriel, followed by the full of Morrowind, then Skyrim--cartographically speaking. Summerset Isles or Elsweyr on their own would just be such a downgrade to what Skyrim accomplished.

We've spend a lot of time in both High Rock (Daggerfall) and Hammerfell (Redguard/Daggerfall). I've only ever imagined Valenwood as a massive forest which, on it's own, would get very old very quickly, so that's out. Black Marsh could be varied in environment, but I find most people don't like the aspect of a swamp being the main setting for an RPG.

So what's left? No province on their own is ideal for a setting the an Elder Scrolls sequel without retreading old, well established ground or falling into the trap of monotony in regards to environments. The solution?

Have a game set in MULTIPLE provinces.

Here's the brilliant idea that me and my friend came up with that will never be used by Bethesda. Basically just have this entire section of Tamriel be the new setting for the game:

I know it sounds crazy, but think about it. With all that shit regarding the Aldmeri Dominion Taking over Valenwood AND most of Cyrodiil, the province borderlines probably won't even resemble what I've just shown you. Elsweyr and Black Marsh would support their own independence of course, but what if the empire collapsed after yet another Great War with the Dominion? What if Elsweyr reclaimed the Cyrodiilic western shore of the Niben Bay and Black Marsh took back the eastern shore of Blackwood? The entire game would be RIFE with political factions and multiple opportunities of war and racial strife! Not to mention the most environmentally varied game that the Elder Scrolls series has ever produced with elven woods, deserts, tropical jungles, and swamplands! IT'S FUCKING PERFECT!!!

Ahem...

So, anyone else like this idea? :D

I vote Summerset Isle. I would love to see that place. Although not as it is at the time of Skyrim. Those Thalmor dickheads really get on my nerves. But what the hell is Pyadonia? I've never heard of that place before.

I'm going to say Akavir, Black Marsh, or... Hell, ANY of 'em!

I freaking love TES and the universe it's in. I'd be interested to see more of the realms of the Daedric princes, and I want to say the Aedric realms, assuming there are some (correct me if I'm wrong) would be wonderful to see.

There is a bit of an issue with Morrowind/Vvardenfell... I believe there was a massive eruption of the Red Mountain during or after the Oblivion Crisis, and it pretty much devastated the province. Again, correct me if I'm wrong.

Pyadonea is the home of the Maormer, exiles from Summerset. They are known as "Tropical Elves", although I call them sea-elves because they use their magic to tame sea-serpents. Here's a link for further reading...

Pyandonea

Maormer

Edit: I vote Thras, where the Sload hang out. Has anyone mentioned that yet?

Isn't Nirn the planet on which Tamriel lies?

OT: It'd be nice to explore Black Marsh and penetrate the mystery surrounding it...
