Summerset. I've said from the start that if Skyrim was awesome (which it is to the power of ten), this would be my perfect Elder Scrolls 6. It's just like Morrowind with the alien aspect, the island, the natives... but in other ways the polar opposite. And since Morrowind is my favourite game of all time, this sounds bloody amazing to me.

Also, Sloads.

Why the hell would you want more of the same?! I mean, sure, we all loved Morrowind, but... even with the Red Year passed, it would be barely different or completely boring. Forget Yorkshire Countryside copy/pasted, think grey wasteland copy/pasted.

I'm guessing that would be Elsweyr? Or at least its shores.
Or, you know, Hammerfell? That part of the world that is, um, inhabited by pirates?
.
I do think that Hammerfell is a viable option, even better than Elsweyr mainly because if you walk around furry people all day long the aspect of awesomeness that surrounds is lost after a while and they become mundane while humanoids like elves and nords are... just plain. But I want to see those sand dunes and giant scorpions...

For fuck sakes, Skyrim hasn't even been out a week yet! Couldn't you have at least waited a couple of weeks before speculating on the next one???
I know that the development cycle won't come even close to the one Activision is forcing on the CoD franchise, but damn it's fun thinking ahead even if it's in five more years.
Lol, my thoughts exactly.

The maps in these games really need to be bigger. Look how many towns are on the map in cyrodil! They had what, 5, maybe 6 in Oblivion. Also, there were only like 200-300 citizens in the whole country! (at least it seemed that way)

Ok, so I looked a bit closer and it seems like they had all the places, but it still felt small due to some places having only like 5 citizens.

Are you serious? I haven't even had the chance to play Skyrim yet on account of being broke and you mean to tell me you're bored of it already???

I like to see a continent wide one. Would mean one of the biggest maps in gaming history but it would be good to travel across the whole of tamriel and get the lore in one big game.

Yes, but consider that Morrowind actually only took place on one island, that, if you look at the map, is smaller than any other actual region.....and that "small" island was still pretty huge :)
Bethesda already made a game set in Morrowind. Since Vvanderfell was destroyed when the Red Mountain erupted and the rest of Morrowind was invaded by the Argonians I don't think we'll be seeing another game set in that region. The world is huge anyways. I'd much rather have a game set in a different region rather than just revisiting old ones.
Except i wasn't proposing that the next game should be in Morowind/Vvanderfell at all....

Hell no. I've played it for 28 hours and passed through just 4 cities. I'm cherishing this game like sweet french wine.

Elsweyr is something they're going to have to get VERY right anyway, it'll take a while - major shakeups of the ground rules. Want to know why, just read this [http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Khajiit#Morphology]. Those different forms of Khajiiti will be much more prominent over there (this was touched upon in 'The Infernal City').
.
Holy crap. After reading this I KNOW they will NOT make a game there.
Ah, such a shame. I would have adored the landscape.

With all of those genre bending and franchise combining games, we might see a hybrid of sorts. Like Mount&Blade, but more awesome. In Tamriel.

Haha, I'm guessing you don't use the official forum.

TES: VI speculation was up on 12/12/10, the day after Skyrim was announced. Anyway, I'm going back to playing Skyrim now, because I am in NO WAY bored of it :D
.
I was just taking a break from killing witches. I shall avenge you, my dear shield brother! Argh!

The way the Empire is set up, a Total War mod would be easy to implement. You already have factions, and with how Skyrim can allow you to establish Nord independence, even the provinces could revolt and form their own nations.

And we wonder why the market is over-saturated with sequels...

Better make a while new engine to excompass all of the minor guilds, religious organisations, a... screw it, too much work. You are BOUND to lose some of the charm of TES if you try to simplify it to fit RTS size.

There is a system in Medieval 2 that allows certain guilds to be established in major cities after certain requirements are met. And hiring mercenaries from certain regions changes their unit names to reflect groups that would be situated in such areas.

Whats with the lack of interest concerning Yokuda and Pyandonea? Do we not know much about these islands from previous games?

I'd like the next one to be in either Hammerfell or High Rock. Mainly High Rock, I play Bretons usually. So it would be interesting to see where they started in. Maybe Hammerfell because the Alik'r Desert could be pretty interesting in my opinion.
