NPC's will not notice you when you are making a racket out of there line of sight.
Things only happen once your character gets to it. (Falling rocks etc)
Enemies will not panic when you have killed off all their friends, and are approaching them with a full clip/ massive powerful gun and they cannot do anything to stop you making mince meat outta them.
