You can drink as many health potions as you want and never get sick. Actually, they are health potions, it would be awkward if you did.

When no health potions are avaible, there are always NPC's.

When you feel like you beat a boring game, your about at half...of the first part.

NPC's love to hide stuff in open chests.

Monsters have huge invisible pockets. Thats where they keep their loot.
This loot usually pops out once the monsters die. Sometimes you have to reach into the invisible pocket first.

On average, a NPC wastes more money buying a chest than the money wasted on whatever he puts inside it. On average, the same NPC will most likely leave the chest unlocked...

Most JRPG's have skinny women claiming to be men.

Your magical vision allows you to see cut scenes from as far as the whole game world so long as something relevant to the story is happening there.

Secret Organizations trying to alter DNA for the good of mankind and society usually end up getting the exact opposite of what they aimed for.

Big bads are always big but not always bad.

Green means... ?? not sure
Green means 'other' (anything from shields, secondary attacks, to guinea pigs and so on).

Powerful explosives are often useless against most walls.

Once you defeated a bunch of enemies hiding behind a mounted machine gun, another load of enemies will enter from the direction you came from so you can use the MG on them.

Your character will stand completely still during a cutscene while the arch villain activates his doom-ray/ "true form".

If there's a locked door you cannot simply break the lock off. Your guns and melee weapons are rendered useless before this lock. You must first backtrack four levels to Maintenance Room B, get the C Room key. This key will not open your locked door. As you make your way back to the locked door, you will encounter your currently immortal enemy. He will force you out a window or over a ledge or something and you will, magically, end up in a completely different part of the compound. Cue a half-hour of running around, but at least you've got some more ammo! You come to an alter of sorts and use C Room key to open a box which lets you place a sigil in the alter. Upon doing this, you'll hear a faint click. The room you started at is now unlocked. You backtrack more, manage to fight a boss, and get back to that room. This will be the room your ally will betray you in.

And that's why survival horror games are dying out.

Attention Escapists: Jokes about JRPG protagonists being "shemales" are not funny, they're just annoying, and by extension those who make them are annoying.
Sorry, really has to be said, even if it is somewhat preemptive.

On topic, regardless of your teammates, it's all up to you to push forward (see: Call of Duty).
No matter how much of a grip they have over the world, totalitarian governments and other major establishments can be taken down by a relatively small number of people.
A rebel or otherwise regular person has substantially greater combat ability than professionally trained soldiers.

If theres a save point infront of a door in a dungeon there IS going to be a boss fight/plot exposition 100% of the time

There is no ligitimate way to catch them all without leaving home (you have to see them before you can get them over wifi)

you will always fight your dad if hes a part of the game

your sword can always be bigger

if its old, its more powerful than what you already have

No one cares about your level. Everyone can get that high to, it just takes time.

Silent protagonists always save the world.

I guess green can sometimes mean HP and usually red in that case is the loss of hp as the background for the green.

Also... if it glows, it's a "weak point"

Finding food on the floor, where it is likely that hundreds have died, is completely safe to eat.
Averted with Fallout 3, which most food gives you radiation poisoning.

You can have demon wings growing inside of you your whole life, just waiting to burst out, without the annual doctor check-up seeing any signs of it. Brutal Legend, while awesome, has some weird plot holes.
