I kind of liked this contest, if just for the fact that I felt I had more of a hand in being/staying eligible. I'd also like to thank the firefox add-on that let me open more profiles faster, Ctrl+F, and all the people with less than 21 badges(you made things so much easier).

This is one of the better contests I've been in actually. Most contests I have a .0001% chance of winning or I really do have to spend 12+ hours a day on the website and my chances will still be horrible. This one I have only had to spend anywhere from 3-5 hours a day and I'm currently ranked 5th on the Leaderboards. Yes it's still random but I have a 50% chance of winning a prize. And a 15% chance at a console is a much better chance then most contests I've entered. Lady Luck rarely smiles on me but at least I feel slightly better with a 15% chance.

I would enjoy more contests like this. Heck I'd just need to enter contests like this 7 times and I'd pretty much be guaranteed a console.

so my original assertion was correct whomever spend the most time clicking on the site had the higher chance of winning a chance to win, and then escapist subscribers actually had a better chance since they had no ad's to load and thus take up time. Very lame contest.

I'm not currently a pubclubbie, and I still managed to rack up a pace that made Kross have to worry.

And really, what do you want from a contest, then? Absolutely no chance to sway one's likelihood of getting a prize? Just a raffle?
We're gamers. Since when do we not whittle away our time in simple competitions and tests of skill?
If you don't like this game, just leave it be.

More importantly, go back and read the rules:

Saying that you worry that Pub Club members may have an advantage or something of the like is fine, but insisting on calling this a "Very lame contest," is simply rude. I know for certain that Kross has put more time than he would have liked into this, and I expect S0osleepie and other staff members have, too.
After all, they're giving you the opportunity to enter in for a console and/or game. This isn't exactly the Hunger Games they have going on.

Oh no! People being able to influence their chances in a contest?! THE HORROR! Think of it this way Time = Money. No matter how you spend your time, that is time that could be used to make money. Most of us that are on the Leaderboard lack the Money to get a console for one reason or another. So we used our Spare time to enter a contest and influence our chances of winning. So yes we spent our time clicking on a site to increase our chances and for some of us it will pay off. I find this a much better model then the usual spend 5 seconds entering a contest have a .001% chance of winning. I have never won at one of those and I doubt I ever will. However in this contest I have a 50% chance of winning and a 15% chance of getting a console. I could use a coin flip to determine if I get a prize or not. Quite frankly this is a vast improvement over any other system I have seen. I didn't have to spend that much time each day on it (3-5 hours of my spare time per day that I would have spent playing games or reading) and I have a decent chance at an awesome looking game and a console. I'm spending my Time for a chance at some kind of compensation that would usually take a large amount of my Money. So I think this contest is a pretty good trade off.

If you can come up with a better system and offer some constructive criticism then I'm sure Kross and sOosleepie would be up to listening to it. If not then I would politely ask you to stop trying to rain on our parade.

Exactly. Yes I could use my own money to replace my broken PS3, but that is money better spent on food, clothes and diapers for my son. And sure it probably would have been less time consuming to work at my job to earn the money for said console, but I am a single father and it's not usually easy finding a sitter, even for me to make it to work. But this game is something I could play at home with my son whenever I had a free moment. Mainly during nap time and at night.

To me, this contest was awesome! And if I don't win, I hope another one comes soon.

I got the fifth badge. I think the criteria was basically getting the four other badges.
As much as I like getting badges and enjoy the accomplishment, I think in the last week I have seen enough Fallen Angels badges to last me a lifetime and I don't have much of an urge to see them anymore.

Yeah, this last badge is Enoch. Since he's the protagonist of the game who's questing to capture all of the fallen angel,s I can only assume getting all four fallen is the prerequisite for this badge.

Anyways, now we play the waiting game.

Awe, okay I admit that was touching in so many ways. I actually wouldn't mind giving up the position of earning a console (if I did win out of the three that is) if it meant you being able to play with your son. I know how that feels... that's why I want one to play with my Dad. Sure, I already have an Xbox 360 but playing split screen strains his eyes, thus it's downright hard to play that way. If he got his own... we'd play all the time together. So I understand how much it means for you to get the console and for that I admire you man.

I think I might have been a little misleading. The game we might win I wouldn't be playing ith my son because he's way too young. He's almost two, so about the closest to gaming he gets is just beating on the Rock Band drums or baby-talk singing into the microphone. I mainly want to win a PS3 for the BluRay since 90% of his movies are in that format.

Game I was referring to in my post was the contest itself. Whenever he would fall asleep or if he was extemely preoccupied playing with his Legos or something, I could jump on the computer real quick and do some hunting.

I'm a little sad over the fact that I didn't know I wasn't even 20 fallen away from making the updated leaderboard until today, but I can't imagine how long it must've taken the staff to know for certain who cheated and who didn't. D:
