Still, it makes me very happy to see what good sports everyone has been about this affair.

Yeah, that's really what surprised me the most about all of this. I mean, cheating to some degree is to be expected, I guess. Civility in a competition, however, isn't. It's kind of bittersweet because it's unfortunate that I feel the need to expect the worst in people, but the majority of the participants here defied my expectations and proved that it's not always about getting the things we want at all costs.

I dunno. I guess that's part of why I prefer The Escapist over other internet forums, really. Sure there's plenty of immaturity here and there, but by and large, the community seems to be pretty good at respecting each other and the rules. I like that.

If anyone gets a notification email, they should DEFINITELY post here so the rest of us aren't kept wondering! Just saying...but seriously...

I've been checking my email religiously (and my spam folder). =) I know they have to get responses back from the first 10 people or the prizes move on to the next people in the draw, so even if people don't get an email right away there's still a chance. Somehow, though, I think everyone on that list is going to be responding.

I'm a little sad over the fact that I didn't know I wasn't even 20 fallen away from making the updated leaderboard until today, but I can't imagine how long it must've taken the staff to know for certain who cheated and who didn't. D:

..I actually kind of wished you made it on. You were a good sport and I got a few connections of Users with Fallen Angel Badges thanks to you. Am at least glad you're still positive overall and not to mention am happy that the Leaderboard got updated because-

I've actually become somewhat a Steam gamer since my PS3 was broken, and have thought on many of an occasion of buying the friends package of sale games and then playing a competition game (like a word game or number game or maybe just answer the questions game) on here to give away the extra purchases. Someone else did that not so long ago and it seemed to go really well for him. Just shows how nice this site is!

Also, I've gotten a code (or two) for a Rift hat from Team Fortress 2. Been meaning to look into if I can give that code away and since all my real life gaming friends have already quit Rift, was thinking of doing a competition on here. So if anyone knows if I can give that cose away, please let me know! Would hate to promise someone a winnings and not be able to deliver.

No e-mail for me either. I looked at the rules again and it does say "on or about August 5th", so there's no knowing when exactly to expect to hear word.

Ahh, thanks! I totally missed that bit. I remembered that there was going to be a 24-hour wait for responses, but didn't see the part about when they would send them out. I'll stop obsessively reloading my email.

I think the thing that confused me in the finalist and winner section was the fact that the 10 "finalists" would all win something. So by being a finalist, they are automatically a winner to some extent. I just thought the wording was a little goofy.
