The first thing I do when I get a new game is scan the achievements list for an easy one.

I used to be content with just beating the game but now for some reason people look at my gamerscore and automatically associate me as a weak player. Now I find myself wanting more achievements, I doubt I will become a whore but have a decent gamerscore. 10g at least!

I'm an achievement addict in recovery. I used to play everything I could, no matter how crappy the game was just to get points. Now I have decided to only get all the achievemnts I can for games that I find fun. I've learned how to say no to bad games. My first no was to The Golden Compass. That game is one of the worst ever made for the 360. I have also told myself that once I reach 50,000 gamerscore I will stop caring about achievements. I'm close to that score though and I can't wait.

Not much of an achievement whore, but sometimes an achievement hunter if I find one I like. For example, there are three acheivements in Brütal Legend that I sat down and decided: I'm doing this one now! I just had to have Boar Bather, Quill Tosser and Coolest Thing Ever

I like the achievement system. I try for them in the spirit of having an objective or a goal, and it gives you a sense a tangible sense of accomplishment when you reach that mark. I don't think I would ever enjoy getting to 100% as much without that chime to tell me I did.

I hit level 21 on Fallout as a Neutral character, then went back, killed a fuckton of people and hit 21 again so I would get the Neutral and Evil achievements.

Surprisingly fun.

I am yeah. Got all the achievements on HL2, Portal, TF2 and am going to start working on L4D achievements once I've GOT A FUCKING HAT!

I used to play WoW but the fact that there are like a bazillion achievements made me think I wasn't going to manage them any time soon. I set myself the target of getting all the PvP ones but hten I quit because I didn't have enough money/time/whatever.

i try to earn as many as i can during the 1st playthrough. however if the game is good enough i will go after the ones that i missed.
