hmmm... FableII's kick a chicken a certain distance... you can get it in the first 5 mins of play, if you loved to kick chickens in FableI... also FII: shoot a poor defenseless Wabbit. but you have to get through the intro, so it requires more effort than the chicken one

Well, you get an achievement in Disgaea 4 for not skipping the opening. I always watch the opening. I think that it helps introduce me to the game. Needless to say, it was my first trophy for that game.

Another one: You get an achievement for looking up Juliet's skirt in Lollipop Chainsaw. All it takes is a push in the right direction on the camera control.

In Halo Reach you get an achievement for buying a piece of armor in multiplayer. I didn't even have to play a match; they give you enough money to start to buy a cheap one.

I really hate the achievements that pop up as soon as you start the game. T's a reward for "pressing start". You don't get less effort than that.

Start of a New Era in Soul Calibur 4.

Don't skip the boot-up cinematic. The one that leads to the title menu. Literally put the disc in and do nothing.

Sadly I came across many an impatient player who did not have this.

I guess in Portal 2 you get an achievement for just playing the game...

Ehemn, I'll spoiler it.

This is the part where he kills you

Well, in Portal 2, there is one where you just stand there, as if to make a point to Wheatley about smeg off about his tests.
Oh god, that one. I thought that you had to do it in the room where he's trying to get turret cubes to go on the button and was sitting there for a damn hour waiting for something to happen. I felt so stupid afterwards.

The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft will net you about 80-100 gamerscore in roughly 10 minutes. Just by constructing all the basic tools and killing a couple of common enemies.
This is very true. Only four or five of the achievements can't be easily obtained within about thirty minutes if you play the tutorial.

Finishing MW3 on Veteran (Flame Shield Activate)
I aint hearing that, COD on vet is incredibly hard. This is coming from a guy that can play Deus Ex on hardest.
I call bullshit as well. Unless CoD is the only game that you play and you've played it all day every day since at least CoD4 came out there is no way that Veteran difficulty could be considered easy without some form of cheating.
i'm not sure about MW3 but i found vet on MW2 pretty easy, and i barely play FPS games, more of a stealth/RTS/RPG guy

OT: you could always try the Turtle? trophy/achievment in Mortal Kombat, win an online match by timing out in both rounds

Flash games have a lot of silly achievements now, I can't think of any blatant easy game achievements but flash games are a source of easy achievements.

Play this if you want achievements

You get one for pressing Start at the title screen on The Simpsons Game. I think I win. Maybe.
Any variation of this, or the achievement for watching the opening cinematic.

A little off topic, but it would be funny to see something like "Achievement: The Game", where you use achievements to get achievements, therefore earning more achievements.

Wow. I think you do. I can think of two from Dungeons of Dredmor that are close to being that easy, but not quite. That game has an achievement for dying in the tutorial (which will happen if you actually complete it -- one of the lessons is that a certain potion can kill you XD) and if you have the free DLC entitled "You Have to Name the Expansion Pack," naming the expansion pack gets you an achievement. No gaming skills necessary there, just the ability to type and use the backspace key.

Reinds me of DLC Quest, which makes fun of DLC by having the game revolve around earning in-game cash to buy "DLC" with. It also reminds me of some of the achievements in TF2, where some of the class specific achievements are earned by earning a given percentage of that class's achievements -- so you literally earn an achievement by earning an achievement. I've seen several games that do that, come to think of it.

I only liked MW2 so I'm basing it on that one but it really wasn't that hard. You just have to take your time and progress very slowly when you can.

A lot of games have these types of achievements. I'm still waiting for a game like Borderlands 2 to have one called "Achievementception" for doing all achievements.

There's an acheivement in Fez literally called "Acheivement Unlocked".

There may be acheivements that require less effort to get, but this one pretty much tells you exactly how to get it. The description is a sequence of button presses, input them and hey presto, collectible appears!

While not really an Achievement because it's from an older game in Harvest Moon: Magical Melody on the game cube had you doing achievement like things to get magical notes needed to beat the game. Some of them were quite hard but not the first one. I believe it was called "First step" or something like that. After you have the sceen explaining why you need to collect these notes your character turns, taks a step and bing note found the player isn't even in control of it at that point.

Shadows of the Damned has one for starting the game. Thanks for making me work for my trophy game.

Also, in inFamous 2 you get one for standing on a chainlink fence. It surprised me when that one popped up.
