Oh, so not only has a load of Infinity Ward's best talent and almost every single core member left, but the empty places are being filled by ACTIVISION CHOSEN AND APPROVED drones and loyal stooges?!?!?

Why does this happen in video gaming industry?!? This is OUTRAGEOUS! Surely there some industrial body to prevent such flagrant abuse of the name of Development studios.

If activision had an announce of integrity they would sell Infinity Ward off or liquidate it.

Tough luck Activision, that's what you get when you pillage every idea and dev. team until there's nothing left - and then don't pay them duly for their efforts.
Best response.

David Stohl should be beaten over a head with a dictionary for daring to use the word "great" to describe games he expects to milk from this horribly abused studio, that really is is just a hollow shell of its former self.

MW3 will be the last project Infinity wards last hurrah BUT i think that either it will rise and make MW4 but i doubt it very much MW3 will have long campaign to show how they wont to end it and then there will be multiplayer which will either be unbalanced and unfocused to do everything because the staff will be like %#% it im not making multiplayer/spec ops they might but don't except 2 much thought into it the only difference wud be new guns and new maps and maybe kill streaks but whatever i hope its a fitting ending and a fun multiplayer

Yeah, just keep telling yourself that, Activision. Firing the two founders and key driving force behind the studio's success and having almost all the senior staff jump ship with them is not something you can fix by hiring a bunch of new people.

right... i seriously havent played a IW shooter i truly loved (except the COD4 singleplayer, but thats only 50% of the game), COD1, 2, 4´s multiplayer and MW2 have all sucked one way or another. COD1 the maps were too big, campaign was boring and anticlimatic as fuck, and the weapons were too weak. COD2 didnt have enough variety and the campaign also sucked. COD4 the campaign was brilliant, but the multiplayer is unbalanced as hell and the grenades are wayyyyy too good. MW2... well, everything sucked.

i wouldn´t say that, but its true for IW. Clover rose again as Platinum Games, and still delivers great titles (Madworld and Bayonetta).

Does not compute. So let me get this right...After losing the people that originally created MOHAA and then left for Activision for COD1-6...they think they can replace them? haha yeah right. I think not. Unless they get some people from Treyarch to help out.
so true. the MP40 in WaW and the fact you couldn´t quickscope made all the retards (90%) of COD players hate the game, and while the MP40 is a bit too good, they actually managed to make a fantastic shooter that was well balanced, had a great campaign, and a Zombie mode. but Treyarch shouldn´t waste time on the worst gaming company ever, Black Ops sounds like it will clean up the MW2 mess and actually be fun.

Let's be honest, does it matter? CoD has hit the guitar hero stage, by now they could get monkeys to code for them and charge £200 for the game and £90 for every 3 maps and they're still gonna sell more than any other game.

Well, it will rise from the ashes but not as IW. They can keep charging for the maps and stuff, since the majority of the studio has left, it will not last long. Another thing that should be noted is that since Kotick wants to milk this thing dry (cause he knows that the franchise is sort of screwed now), subscriptions are surely to be implemented.

I hear what Activision is saying, and it sounds like it should be accompanied by dramatic organ music, a clap of thunder and lightning, some sort of evil cackling and an abomination stitched together from stolen corpses.

Agreed, although the way Activision keep banging on they seem to be a little worried.

Strangely, I'm actually inclined to say that the recent firings might do a few good things for the company: sure, Bobby Kotick is a dumbass for doing it, but now the studio is being forced out of the stagnation and smugness that brought us Modern Warfare 2. Now, IW will have to prove itself again, to demonstrate that they really are still a viable studio.

Then again, frat boys will buy a Call of Duty game regardless of who makes it and regardless of how unbalanced it may be, so maybe not. Oh well, even if IW is more or less a lost cause, perhaps Respawn Entertainment can come up with something good.

part of Infinity Wards soul has been gutted, that creative part of it has left and formed a new company, it will be interesting to see what they come up with but I can't see it being at all the same. We'll have to reserve judgement until we see their first game, though I personally won't be buying it, not until Activision start changing the way they operate.

Lets face it all the senior people have left Infinity Ward, that was pretty much the heart and soul ..gone. The people at the top in Activision, obviously think these guys are replaceable, I think they win the boobie prize for assuming such a thing.

Anyway, I guess we'll see how long it takes for the "new" IW to get their feet under them, or not. :p
