Adam Sessler Leaves G4

I loved X-Play and Adam Sessler's opinion on video games and gaming culture, he was always so fun to listen to. When there was a marathon on of X-Play I would stick around to watch the whole thing even if it lasted until early morning, and I felt bad when I missed an episode. Hell even the E3 interviews with Adam Sessler were more lively and informative than any of his contemporary hosts, his co-hosts aside from Morgan were usually boring.

If I could get a DVD collection of X-Play and watch all the fun Morgan and Adam had on that show I would buy that in a heart beat.

To be honest I agree with him.
I do not care about the Mass Effect 3 ending at all. I'm sure it was pretty terrible but to see the sheer amount of self-entitlement and mindless rage from the fans was actually pretty hilarious. Especially since it was to a company that had invested countless hours or time and millions of dollars to provide the game for the consumers. I'm sure most people are glad to see the fans bitching has died down a bit.

Ps. I have played the first Mass Effect game and own the second one, Mass effect is a good game. Just to clear up any potential misconceptions.

We are getting side tracked here, I don't care about the Mass Effect ending. We were discussing MovieBob. So what you are saying is that he should be sacked because he had an opinion? Because the examples you have given are simply that. Regardless of his sometimes childish displays I don't think he is invalid.

Why should the Escapist get rid of MovieBob?

Because we have enough self-entitled fuckwits on the Escapist as it is. Removing Bob and getting Sessler wouldn't be -1/+1, it'd be +1/+1.

I don't really know about adding Sessler. I've never watched anything involving him, but I am totally behind canning Bob.

I freaking love Adam and I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing what he does outside of G4. I used to watch X-Play every day after school until G4 became shit. Maybe someday we'll have a real gaming channel again :|

When you could get a job at gametrailers, gamespot, IGN, Kotaku, Destructoid, Joystiq, or indeed right here at the escapist, nothing is worth being forced to advertise that shit.

X-Play was never any good after they changed the set....just a wee bit before Dish/DirectTV dropped em from their line-up.


Hope he can find something as great as the Ye Olde X-Play I remember being funny

Sure, I disagree with Sessler sometimes, but I have always respectfully disagreed with him. He's honest about how he feels and that is what opinionated journalism is all about. I anticipate supporting him on his future projects and I'll be sure to give the man the attention and respect he deserves wherever he turns up.

Wow, that's surprising. Whenever I think G4TV Adam Sessler next to Morgan making lame puns and ripping games a new one. But in a way it's almost NOT surprising since they'vs been shoving that Blair guy or whatever his name is down the viewers throats. Hopefully Adam moves onto bigger and better things (seeing as he's coming from G4 almost anything will be a huge step), seeing him on the Escapist would be the greatest thing since the invention of the sandwich.

I'm glad to see he's moving on. I followed him since Gamespot TV and stopped watching after the G4 TechTV merger.

to be fair i think they are the only ones that actually air the E3 press conferences...that's literally it thou

yeah, on television. E3 airs on Gamespot.com as well. Although i hate that site I'd rather watch it there than on G4.
