Advice with my friends younger sister

This is going to be quite long so sit back.

On Halloween we were hanging at another friends house so I picked up my friend in title. I knocked on the door and his sister answers. (Note I am 16 and his sister is 14/15) I have joke with my friend that I absolutely hate his taste in music. She goes to get my friend and I tell her to tell him, "All of the bands he likes, especially A Day to Remember." (Sorry to all their fans on the Escapist)

She thought it was funny and goes to get him. Note that this was the first time I ever met her, or anyone is his family for that matter, even though I've been really good friends with him for about four years. So I've only talked to his sister for about ten seconds.

So the dad after I get a message on my phone saying on Facebook I have one new friend request and it's from his sister. A little strange, but since she's the sister of a good friend it's okay to add her.

So after I add her she starts commenting and liking every single thing I do on the site like we're best friends. Here are examples:

I went to see The Hold Steady in concert and since I was really close I got to high five the lead singer, Craig Finn, after the show.

Status Update: I just high fived Craig Finn, greatest night of my life.

So I go home and I had a notification:
My friend's sister liked my status and comment: Who's that?

I was a little upset because I had only had talked to her once only because she answered the door. I was like whatever. So after Leslie Nielson dies and I put up the following status:

Status Update:Leslie Nielson died, it's total BS. Why are geniuses like him and Dio dying, while pieces of garbadge like Nickelback and Michael Bay are alive and well?

She comments: Hey I like Nickelback.

Again I just ended it there and said ok.

Then Spike has a Star Wars marathon and while at a friends house watching it we discussed the Yoda quote: Do or do not there is no try.

I write: When people quote Master Yoda when he told Luke Skywalker, "try. do or do not. there is no try" he is telling Luke Skywalker to not think about using his Force powers, just use them to get his X-Wing out of the swamp on the Dagobath planet?

She comments: "wow thats so interesting im so glad that u told me that mayb i will fall asleep faster"

I just responded and moved on.

Just to let you know in the month of November I had 15 statuses and she either commented or liked 9.

Finally here is where I'm starting to get annoyed. I get a text from my friend

Friend: Hey
Now my friend never texts to have a conversation, only to make or verify plans or ask questions about school. I think this is strange so.

Me: What's up bro?

Friend: I'm not a bro...

Me: WTFuck? (that's what I put, I think WTF looks weird)

Friend: This is his sister...

So I find out she doesn't have texting so she texts me a lot as my friend.

Remember I have only talked to her for ten seconds.

So yesterday we were planning a game of basketball and my friend comes...and brings his sister along. I asked why he brought her (not angry, but curious) and he said: "She came, I didn't ask her to come."

Let it be known all of my friends hate her apparently, they all know her better than I do.

So whatever we start playing, I suck at basketball and most sports in general, and she's just watching and everytime I miss a shot or mess up I hear from her: "What a fail" Over and over like a bad video game repeating dialouge.

So after 20 minutes she leaves because we were playing at a park right down the road from where they lived.

As of today I have not seen or talked to her since and we have a final talley of 20 minutes and 10 seconds of meeting her.

I go home and I'm chilling and my phone rings. Text message says: New wall post. It was from my her and it said, "What a fail."

Now I've had enough I just want her to leave me alone, but I don't want to be mean. I want to tell her we're not friends and that we're barely acquantances. She is just the little sister of one of my good friends.

TL;DR My friend's sister is acting like we're best friends and I hardly know her and it's getting annoying. What should I do?

Why go into all this detail with statuses and accurate responses? Just say she's stalking you on Facebook and everyone gets the picture. Just block her, no harm done.

Anyway, highfiving the Hold Steady guy, not bad. I only like one of their songs but still. That's cool.

"Hey I like Nickelback!" BLOCK!

Delete her as a friend and make all get togethers from now on at someone else's house?

Well, I can see three things out of this!!!

1.She has no friends and just take it as such, common the kid might be lonely.
2.She likes you, ALOT, so just be nice to her.
3.She's a pseudo-stalkerish girl who stalks everyone who talk to her for ten seconds, (It has become a big problem).

Good luck! XD

She obviously has a crush on you. When I was your age (picture me shaking my cane at you), I had to deal with this a few times. It's very uncomfortable, but it will pass. My advice is just to be friendly with her. Don't go out of your way to be friendly, just don't be a dick. I know it's a mild nuisance, but in no time, you won't even remember it.

Also, if it gets bad, try to get her to latch on a different friend of yours. I did this a couple of time when I felt extreme measures were needed. It's not the best way but sometimes you got to think about dt61.

The point I was trying to make is that these things were completely out of her realm of interests and as someone said below, if she's the stalker type (which I don't know yet) she'll find out quite quick that I deleted her and I don't want to be a dick.

Tell her it's not approprite behaviour and make sure she knows that you are a little freaked out by it. Be direct and dont beat around the bush about it. She might just be lonely, if so then just be nice but dont give the wrong impression.

Do or do not there is no try.
Thats a slight miss quote it's...

Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try.
Sorry to be picky but its one of my favourite quotes.

But Yoda has a point you gota do the right thing and let her know she's annoying you, or it's only going to get worse.

Basically, this.

She is 14, going on 15.
dt, it's time to think.
Better beware, be canny and careful.
dt, you're on the brink.

She is 14, going on 15.
Fellows will fall in line
Eager young lads
And douchebags and dads
Will offer her beer and wine

Totally unprepared is she
To face a world of men
Timid and shy and scared is she
Of things beyond her ken

She wants someone
Older and wiser
Telling her what to do
You are 16 going on 17
She will depend on you.

I really can't take credit for this. I just modified a song from "The Sound of Music" which seemed to relate to this particular problem. I'm a little...alarmed that you didn't recognize it immediately. Am I that old? Oh, dear...

Depending on what state/country you are in this could create problems, big, police involving problems.

Well I would just not respond to her posts, and remove the comments/posts she puts on your wall.

She probably won't notice, but if she does, just say "Well it just looked weird" or, just don't even respond when she asks you. Just act totally ignorant to anything she says, eventually she'll lose interest. Try to avoid seeing her in person as well.

D'awww

*sing song tone*

She loves you
She wants to kiss you
She wants to hug you
She loves you
She wants to glomp you
she wants to be K.i.s.s.i.n.g.
*Ahem*

Okay, i'll be more serious about this, it seems as though she has a crush on you, either that or she has a major lack in social skills and doesn't know any better.

Don't talk to her behind her back. Talk to her in front of her back; therefore link her to this thread and she'll see it from your eyes.

just cut down on the attention you give her, like only reply to something like a third of her posts/texts/messages, then it just kinda seems like your one of those people that barely replies to shit online.

I recently had this problem, although not as bad. My kinda friends half cousin (i think, im not even sure) added me on msn and started talking to me literally everytime i was online. I dont even do that with my best friends, and she was talking like we were very close. I just didnt reply much, not too little to seem like a complete dick, just enough that it seemed like i was always busy doing something at the time.

Goodbye, indeed. It's not often I pray for the banhammer, but... really, dude?

I think I love you.

Okay, OT: This has happened to me. Tell her you're uncomfortable with the way she's acting. Where it goes from there is up to you, but that HAS TO BE the first step.
