Well,at least you're not here in Bosnia...There are 5 year old CS kiddies pwning guys well over 16 here...
Wait, what? I don't live in USA, but is there really a law like that?Ago Iterum said:the hosts will kick you/ban you because the law says they have to.
It's some of your own age range that ruin it for you all.some random guy said:Varchld, "you'll understand when you're older" is a statement which has been thrown at me numerous times and it just won't do. That isn't a proper explanation. You'll have to elaborate. You'll have to explain in detail why I'm not mature enough to play games which I have been playing for years with no negative effect before you convince me of anything.
No, I do not consider myself to be more mature than many 18 year olds and I disapprove of the assumption. I know that I'm still just a kid and I accept that but I don't accept the idea that these games are in any way inappropriate.
Because of these things. Kids have a different view of what's funny, and they think saying these stupid things are funny. Adults see it as immature, which shows you are not mature enough to play this game.Syndef said:Oh, and one more thing. CONSTANTLY saying the words "epic", "fail", "noob", "fag", "******", or "your mom" is a surefire way to display your immaturity.
Yeah. Age ratings are partially law enforced. Not to the point where the kids will be arrested for playing them, obviously, but companies get fined if they are caught selling M games to kids.GenHellspawn said:Wait, what? But they already sold them the game, so how would that help?Ago Iterum said:And to cover their asses against these laws, mods will enforce these rules, by kicking/banning people who aren't supposed to be on the game.
No, there isn't. He's being facetiousGenHellspawn said:Wait, what? I don't live in USA, but is there really a law like that?Ago Iterum said:the hosts will kick you/ban you because the law says they have to.
Although "you'll understand when you're older" is something young people (including myself) don't like to hear, it's absolutely true. However, I'll attempt to explain it as best I can.some random guy said:Varchld, "you'll understand when you're older" is a statement which has been thrown at me numerous times and it just won't do. Well, there isn't a law that prohibits kids from playing the games, but there is one that prohibits kids from buying them. It's a matter of parental discretion.Ago Iterum said:Yeah. Under the same law that prohibits them selling alcahol and porn to kids.
And to cover their asses against these laws, mods will enforce these rules, by kicking/banning people who aren't supposed to be on the game.
*EDIT* and I'm not from the US either, bt it's the same here in the UK. And everywhere really.
There isn't a law stopping them playing it, but to cover themselves from any accusationsthat can lead to lawsuits, finingsm for whatever reason, the mods will just kick the underage people.Xojins said:Well, there isn't a law that prohibits kids from playing the games, but there is one that prohibits kids from buying them. I am from the US, so that's how it is (unless I've misinterpreted the law :S)
Perhaps I'm not understanding what you're saying, but explain what you mean by "mods." Do you mean mods for specific games or just for networks like XBL in general?Ago Iterum said:There isn't a law stopping them playing it, but to cover themselves from any accusationsthat can lead to lawsuits, finingsm for whatever reason, the mods will just kick the underage people.
that suuuucks, to bad most smart people use the interwebsAgo Iterum said:porn to kids.GenHellspawn said:Ago Iterum said:the hosts will kick you/ban you because the law says they have to.
Not that I've heard of....where exactly did this "law" come from?GenHellspawn said:Wait, what? I don't live in USA, but is there really a law like that?Ago Iterum said:the hosts will kick you/ban you because the law says they have to.
