i just bought a copy of call of duty 4 modern warfare from CEX (computer exchange) and when i got home (i was psyching myself up for it the entire journey home because i really liked world at war) ... i realised that the game they gave me wasn't a PS3 game ... it was an Xbox disk in a PS3 box >.<

i ran back and the shop was closed ... now i'm sitting on an xbox call of duty banging my head on the keyboard LOOOL

DAAAMN i hope they'll exchange it when i go back 2morrow

Yeah, but I was usually smart enough to check the disc before I left the store, just incase.
The bad luck was that there was no disc in the case.
Of course something like that hasn't happened sicne I was a wee lad.

I have done that but there wasn't even a disc in my box. It was all wrapped up but there was nothing. Can't remember what game though.

Can't say that i have, but my friend bought a WoW game card, he got home and there was nothing in it. He walked all the way back and they gave him another one which was kinda lucky for him.

No I always check the contents of the game box before I leave the store.

Although there was one time when I was sleeping over at a friend's house for his birthday. We were just walking to the bus stop as I was about to go home. When he wanted to go down to a game store to buy a copy of Halo 2, I didn?t mind I had about thirty minutes before the next bus so I went with him. I bought a copy of Prince of Persia Warrior within for the PS2. However there was a mix up of the bags and his game ended up with me, while mine stayed at his house.

It wasn't long after I got home that he called me, to say he has my game, and I realized that I have his. We simply switched the games at school the next day.

I had something happen similar when I got a 360. I bought Battlefront 2 for the xbox, knowing my 360 was backwards compatible. Turns out, there was a certain list of games that were compatible, and Battlefront 2 wasn't on that list.

That happened to me, except it was Star Wars Republic Commando. It sucked because a friend of mine, who had an original Xbox, had showed me the game and it looked really good. He's since upgraded, I believe. But even worse for me, after failing to get it on Xbox 360 because of that damn list, I bought it for the PC. Lo and behold, it didn't work. I still haven't been able to get my hands on a working copy... :(

I bought the Last remnant. Yeah.
What's wrong with the Last Remnant? I got it just a few days ago, and I'm enjoying it so far.

And my one mishap that I had with games was, for my one bday back when I was like...13 or something I think. I was allowed to get 1 new game, and 2 used games from EB Games.

So, I got 1 PC game, 1 Gamecube game, and 1 GBA game. Come home, PC game doesn't work, Gamecube game won't read, GBA game was fine.

Returned them the same day, got the same PC game(the dude thought it was a faulty cd, we didn't know any better), and another Gamecube game.Turns out, PC one still didn't work, but the Gamecube one did.

So the next day, we just decided to screw it, and just returned the PC game and got our money back for it.

Well at least the PS3 version is the better one. Since the PS3 gamepad has better aiming sensitivity.

(I own neither xbox or PS3, but when i lived in university halls, two guys nxt door to each other had an xbox and a PS3, they both had cod4, and we tried multiplayer on both consoles, and found that the PS3 had better aiming sensitivity.)

edit; of course the PC is the best version, but lets, not do this.

I remember renting a game but not checking the case. I got home and the wrong disc was in the case. Sad face.

When I bought a pre-owned Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, they put the Platinum in the original case! Bastards!

They'll exchange it for you because it's their fault. Sit tight and play something else. You can wait.
