Wow, this thread was over before it even began.

Of course all JRPGs don't look the same, and people who say they do are either blind or stupid. Did you really have to make a thread in order to respond to them? Newsflash:

1. BLIND people won't be able to read it.
2. STUPID people will simply remain stupid.
Or both.

You're preaching to either one of 2 kinds of people
1. People who're already well aware of that and therefore are the choir.
2. People who don't care and therefor you might as well be preaching to a brick wall.

Congratulations, you named ONE.

Give your self a medal. My statement still stands. Guy who looks like a chick saves the world.
Actually I named 11. It's a big series from the NES days. Plus though I could go on listing other series, but you aren't going to listen no matter what so I'm officially giving up on this one.
Thank you, I was bored of it from the begining, and I made it clear that JRPG's are NOT my forte. All I've seen are guys that looks like girls that save the world. In all the games THAT I HAVE PLAYED have always shown that. I then went on saying that I did how ever like the FF games, like actual playing wise.

To be fair the second pair *do* look alike, but then they're both anime style and frankly that stuff all looks the same to me.

Ahh, but your problem lies not in fact, but in perception. Rap is similar, it gets slated by a lot of people on here, most of which don't know Talib Kwali from Plan B. Education would be the answer, but those who don't want to learn cannot be taught.

That's rather obvious when you called something "anime" style.
I'll bite, how so? I thought anime was the general blanket term for Japanese cartoon art and what have you.

There, fixed. You happy now? Lets move on with our lives, shall we.
But by saying that you might just as well write "All FPS's feel the same."

Because if we look at the FPS genre like we look at the JRPG genre. They do look/feel the same.

I'd argue Disaea is a TBS rather than a JRPG but that's just me.

Dunno what the first is, but lack of an English screencap leads me to believe it's import only. A hurr hurr hurr.
Its Resonance of Fate, and its still in production in Japan, hence no english.

I gotta say, liking the movement of long winded text dump arguing to picture arguing.

Please continue.

Other than Disgaea not being an RPG at all, the all LOOK different but they almost universally have stories with so many of the same elements that when I play them I can tell you what's going to happen in chapter 10 during chapter 2 and tell you who the end boss will be 20 minutes into the intro.

I wouldn't say that either, Dark Cloud feels a lot different from Mabinogi which feels a lot different from Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne which feels a lot different from Digimon World which feels different from Guardian Crusade.
