OMYGOD THANK YOU. I totally forgot about tenchu. Wrath of Heaven and return from darkness are amazing. my god i didn't think anyone else even knew of those games. kudos to you sir.spartan231490 said:No contest. Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven. Although I haven't played any of the more recent versions, which look even better.
I agree. Most other "stealth" games allow/force us to just murder everything and everyone who might be a bother.. not so much in Thief. So skill, discretion and patience really matters.imperialreign said:KingFall said:Thief. De facto.
Agreed.
NOTHING has come close to touching the stealth pinacle that was set by the Thief series. Some have been good, but none can compare.

I'm sorry but Assassin's Creed is hardly a stealth game.xRBEASTx said:I apologize if this thread already exists, but what is your all-time favorite stealth game? For me it's a three way tie between Hitman: Blood Money, Assassins Creed II, and Splinter Cell: Conviction, all near-perfect games, in my honest opinion.
I would agree with this IF MY COMPUTER COULD GODDAMN RUN IT! The game is so old that my computer can't even boot it up anymore. The Madman said:Thief 2: The Metal Age
Amazing atmosphere, excellent story, memorable protagonist, and extremely solid gameplay mechanics make it the best stealth game out there.
I haven't played it, so I'll defer to your wisdom on this, but:DP155ToneZone said:Thief invented and perfected the stealth genre.
Anyone who says it isn't their favourite stealth game, hasn't played it.
