Am I a cheat?

O.K Escapists, I need your help. Recently I was playing Super Street Fighter IV Online. I won a match, only for my opponent to e-mail me saying, and I quote "Fuckin *****, with the ultra in the link."
Now this may just be someone being petty, because as far as I'm aware I didn't cheat. I don't even know what that message was supposed to mean!
So I ask, to anybodies knowledge, did I commit some sort of Street Fighter sin?

And for discussions sake, has anyone ever been in a similair situation?

You beat someone. They got mad. Obviously, they couldn't have lost due to fair practices, so you must be cheating. Yeah, that's it! If he were fighting someone who wasn't cheating, he'd win easily! You were obviously cheating.

I was accused of cheating WAY back when Jedi Knight had an online community. I found the perfect timing of a lightsaber slash while running past someone and had a good handle on the lag so that I could take someone out with a single strong slash.

To be fair, there was alot of cheating going on at the time, but it wasn't me. There were people with pistols modded to shoot rockets and crap.

I was once accused of cheating because my connection drop down right before I was about to loose a match in SF4. I know how that must have looked like from his perspective, but it was nothing but a sad coincidence.

Nope, it was more the "ultra in the link" comment, I thought maybe somehow I'd glitched or something. I suppose it's just me being paranoid... Probably right in saying it was just some sore loser.

Ya, pretty much what Onyx Oblivion said.

Hell, for most of the characters, the only way to get a guaranteed ultra hit is to link it. Said person is just being a poor sport.

I got an angry PM on Black Ops for tomahawking a guy last second in a Wager Match. Wasn't even high stakes, played for 10 CoD points.

Some people are just sore losers. In this case it's likely the guy was one.

I had it happen to me twice on MGS3 online, people were touchy on that game.

One time I was sniping and got called a cheat for having a killstreak of 5. Another time I got kicked from a lobby for winning 7 sneak matches in a row. The host was a sore loser. He actually messaged me saying "lose or kick" in the last match before he booted me. I went back in the lobby to piss him off...but he kicked me and blocked me from it. ¬_¬

Of course. Anyone who beats/kills anyone else online is obviously a cheat. Don't you know that every player is basically an invincible God (except Noobs, they just want to be Gods)>
