Am I a cheat?

Yeah, RDR is soo bad. I went up into the mountains, two guys started attacking me and I owned them every time. It was like a zombie apocalypse. Any way, they sent me a PM and told me to stop aimbotting or they'd get their friend whose brother knows someone whose brother works for Microsoft.

Yeah.... That's a really scary threat.
I love the multiplayer so much, but sometimes...
That's why I play on my own, and treat it like a single-player MMO.

I was accused of cheating WAY back when Jedi Knight had an online community. I found the perfect timing of a lightsaber slash while running past someone and had a good handle on the lag so that I could take someone out with a single strong slash.

To be fair, there was alot of cheating going on at the time, but it wasn't me. There were people with pistols modded to shoot rockets and crap.

When it had? There are still a couple of hundred between mods and the main game.

first off if the game can be palyed with it and the developers suport it its not cheating.(i love my turbo controler) This is simply because truly good players can still kick the shit aout of players who use such devices. In this case though the guy you played was a nub who thought he was the best cause he could beat all his friends and when you beat him he couldnt handle it.

I got an angry PM on Black Ops for tomahawking a guy last second in a Wager Match. Wasn't even high stakes, played for 10 CoD points.

Some people are just sore losers. In this case it's likely the guy was one.

Idiot shouldn't have been playing that game mode if he got mad at getting Tomahawked.

Getting mad at games is dumb.

playing a sniper in bad company I got 40 kills(didn't go past first com-station) and not a single death in a match (we were defending and we won) and I got a message saying 'get a life you cheater' how I loved my victory that day.

I don't have Xbox Live, I usually play online on PC, so I don't ever get emails or messages or anything like that. However, I have had my fair share of abuse from people who were sore losers, though it's nowhere near as prevalent on PC online as it is on console online. Surprisingly, the very sizeable community that still plays the original Halo on PC (and it's modding community) are very well behaved online, with only a very tiny number of idiots spoiling it for people. I had the misfortune to run into such an idiot during a game of CTF on the map Ice Fields on the original Halo. He was smack talking all through the match, and I managed to kill him once when he was in a Ghost and I was in the turret of a Warthog being driven by a teammate. It was a rocket turret, but the Warthog turrets can be hard to aim sometimes, and I was having to constantly shift my aim because my teammate was driving really erratically. My opponent, the little smack talking idiot (sounded like a kid, too), was quite a distance away, also driving really erratically, shooting at us. I managed to aim it perfectly for a split second, fired, and hit the guy square in the chest with a rocket. As soon as the guy respawned he started spamming me with text chat messages saying I was a 'n00b' and that he was going to find me and kill me, and that it doesn't take any skill at all to use a rocket launcher (never mind the circumstances we were in when I fired). I proceeded to track the guy down and kill him about five more times, to the amusement of the other people (on his team as well as mine), before he ragequit. Huh, I guess I must have no skill at Halo then, eh?

Regarding the OP, you aren't a cheat. You used legitimate gameplay to beat your opponent and he/she is just a sore loser, nothing more. Put it out of mind and take comfort in the fact that you are a better gamer, a more mature person, and a better sportsman, than your opponent is.

You call that cheating; I call it playing to my strengths.

Why is it when people repeatedly use one move over and over it's called cheating? I seriously use this trick when health is low (in Tekken for instance, crouch kick), I mean, shouldn't those move be easier to block after the first to third hit?

O.K Escapists, I need your help. Recently I was playing Super Street Fighter IV Online. I won a match, only for my opponent to e-mail me saying, and I quote "Fuckin *****, with the ultra in the link."
Now this may just be someone being petty, because as far as I'm aware I didn't cheat. I don't even know what that message was supposed to mean!
So I ask, to anybodies knowledge, did I commit some sort of Street Fighter sin?

And for discussions sake, has anyone ever been in a similair situation?

I think you where mashing on ultra during a link. And since its online, his link dropped due to lag and your ultra came out. It's also known as "churnin' the butter." It is frown upon in the SSF4 circles for being a scrubby lag tactic (which it is). But he shouldn't be doing super tight links online and he should block more.
