Yes, yes you are. But you seem to be a good hipster because you're humble and not a pretentious asswipe.

Fine, fine fine I'll enter Toyota Care. Also, isn't this system easily abused if it's Toyota Care every other time?

I've been hearing this word quite alot online recently, I've noticed people seem to fucking hate hipsters. And I'm now a little frightend I may actually be the target of all this hatred.
Just to get things straight, I'm from the UK, we don't really have the term hipster here (to my knowledge anyway), so I dont have much info on them, so I urbandictionary'ed it.
I am a skinny white girl, early 20s. I have visable 'old school' tattoos, I wear 'geeky' glasses, I love comics and retro gaming, and modern gaming aswell in fact, I'm into art and photography, and vintage clothes mainly from charity stores, and my music taste is pretty obscure if I'm honest. And I shop at Urban Outfitters and American Apparell too :/
The only box I didn't tick is that I'm not from a major American city. Does that mean I'm okay? Do you have to be American to be a dreaded hipster? Or do I just need to learn to accept that people hate me? Will people throw things at me in the States?
Srsly though, I'm worried.
Don't stress. After half a dozen threads on this topic, no-one on this forum has been able to give me a solid definition of "hipster" that stands up to any actual scrutiny, so my conclusion is that what "hipster" really means is "someone I've decided to hate for some arbitrary superficial reason in order to hide my personal insecurities". If anyone gives you any shit take it as a compliment, they're probably overweight, sitting at their computers picking the crusties out of their asscrack and wishing they had a social life.

It sounds like a college kid's word for "poser" and I thought we moved on from that sort of crap after middle-school/freshman year of high school. Like what you like, do what you do, haters gonna hate.

Do you hate most mainstream things and walk around with a pretentious asshole-ish attitude?

If yes, then you're a hipster.

If no, then you're not.
You just described most of this website there.
