Am I the only one that thinks twiter is... well... stupid?

Your not the only one buddy. I don't get why it's so appealing? Why do I care what some random is doing? And yes I'm addicted to Facebook (On it in class all the time), yes I play shit loads of xbox. But I still don't get this, How is it appealing at all?!

Incidentally, one of my friends had quite an etertaining idea concerning Twitter. As we all know, it evolved from blogging, and is basically a very convenient way for any number of people to blog as much as they want. My friend came up with the logical next step: since Twitter is micro-blogging, he suggested nano-blogging. You have to keep it to 10 characters or less!

Well, I thought it was funny, anyway.

Following celebrities (which comedians are BTW) is pathetic and pointless. One would think life is best when you live it, not wallow in the affairs of what others do with their life. As this act is one of the chief purposes behind Twitter, it is to me, proof that the app has no value save helping losers waste their life away. But that's just my opinion on it...

A man after my own heart. Good to know that there are more than a few people out there who think Twitter is stupid. Obviously the OP is included in that group. There is hope yet, I suppose.

Well eventually online dialog will revert to only 3 or 4 letter communiques like "Yeah, Huh, Cool, Wha?", and things will have come full circle, where online is no different from offline conversation, and thus the world will explode... OR people will just hang out in person again.

I look forward to that day. It's only a matter of time before people give up on Twitter, or at least I hope so. I sincerely hope that, once it's gone, people will once again be able to appreciate the value of talking to people in person. Probably not going to happen any time soon though, unfortunately.

By the way, I realise the irony in that I am using a forum to talk about the benefits of face-to-face conversation.

Wow, a lot of you people are taking it a little too seriously. Mad haters. Twitter isn't raping your loved ones, Twitter is not contributing to the downfall of civilization, it's just a tool like any other that you can choose to use or not.
