So much wrong with this post.
[Stuff that's wrong with that post].
You're right. Having one say that they don't respect certain aspects of other peoples' culture is completely racist.
I don't know about you brohamious, but I don't see a single phrase along the lines of "I hate asians" in Dagens' post (nor mine for that matter). Hell, you yourself state you have a fixed opinion by saying Devil May Cry is "intended as an incarnation of the rule of cool, it basically does **** cause it's ****ing awesome" etcetera. Maybe there are some people who -don't- find that slow-motion gravity-defying sword-to-bullet stuff cool. Maybe there are guys who find watching virtual JDAM strikes cool, or digitally flying in Flight Simulator cool, or taking on the virtual role of a SWAT officer in the field of duty.
I personally prefer those sorts of things to the -generalized- format of Japanese games. Is there uniqueness? Yes there is. Are all Japanese games the same? No, they're not. But Dagens' specified:
"In summary; silly, goofy, light-hearted Japanese game = good. Serious, anime non-sense = baaaaad."
So does his not liking Final Fantasy or whatever turn him into a racist? Anywho, my kettle's going off, so I won't be able to reply--feel free to respond and 'win' the conversation while I'm away, I'm not keeping score.
