Am I the ONLY one who has never heard of Twisted Metal before?

I used to love it and played it all the time. It was my favorite game for a while.

I always played as Thumper just going around and lighting everything on fire.

It's an old dead franchise that Sony wants to revive so that it can try to squeeze another milking out of the zombified udder of the nostalgia cow. The original game was released in 1995 and the last significant release was in 2001 with TM Black. Younger players would have missed this series completely.

I wish I had never heard of Twisted Metal, the series has sucked ever since the second game came out over a decade ago. I'm not getting excited for a reboot until I play a demo.

Good ol' Twisted Metal. It was one of the reasons why I was jumping on my parents' nerves to buy me PS1 (but they never did) back in the days when the first one was popular and every cyber cafe had it running. Not really excited thogu since I game on PC

my uncle showed it to me back in the day and i was hooked for a while but the series kind of died out for a while after ps1...

but are you telling me you havent seen "big daddy"? with adam sandler?

I love Twisted Metal I bought every single one and played them for soo many hours with relatives, friends whoever. Great great game. I'm actually surprised not everyone has heard of twisted metal. I always put Twisted metal up their with games like Final fantasy and metal gear, yknow games everyone knows. I'm sad to see it a ps3 exclusive though, since I don't own one. Oh well.

I'm guessing this is an old gamer bait thread, but I'll bite XD... Me and a couple friends used to do "Twisted Metal Saturdays" every once in a while back on the PS1 era... they where awesome... the RC sucked and 3 and 4 we played it mainly for tradition. But I can't count the times we finished 1 and 2 with all characters... good times.
I remember getting TM:Black when I got my ps2 and loved the new look. the stories where, well, Twisted and so amazing and the game was awesome too... that sparked the "TM saturdays" back on for a while back then... and so did Head on (I still have it on my psp games somewhere).

So, BRING IT ON!!! WE WANT SOME WRECKAGE AND MAYHEM!!!

I lost track of the number of hours I sunk into playing Twisted Metal 2. It's just so much fun to plant a land mine on the second level of the Eiffel Tower and watch the whole thing come crashing down anytime someone teleports in!

Twisted metal has been around sense i was about 10 or so for the ps1 if i remember right.

ITs preety fun, Black made me a little sick to my tummy though.
