Am i the only one ?

I have heard loads of people praise Team Fortress 2

but when i played it i found boring

the maps in my opinon were not good

the classes were over balanced

and all fun seems to be illusion

but thats my view

(it was the PS3 version if it makes a differenace)

so what did you think of TF 2 and why ?

The problem is that you have the ps3 version. On the consoles, the max no. of players is 16, rather than 32, there aren't many maps, and there are no new weapon packs. Tf2 is maybe the best multiplayer game i have ever played, and is in my mind in the top ten fps's of all time. Also its hilarious. SO THERE.

Would you reccomend it for me to buy it off steam ?

Personally i first played the Xbox 360 version. I thought it was HORRIBLE.
but then steam had a free TF2 weekend on pc so i tried it out.
IT KICK ASS of serious proportions.
why? maybe because i feel that on the consoles it is SLOW. its a pc game. Personally i think it should have stayed that way. on the pc its seems to be faster in pace and easier to control and whatnot.

Dam PC owners still get treated with treats !!!

really i think it goes both ways.
there are games that belong on the Consoles and games that belong on the PC's
and they should stay that way.

I played it a little, I enjoyed myself a little, I have to start playing it again when I renew my Xbox live subscription, to see what I really think about it.

Personally i just love Team Fortress 2, as one of the best and funniest shooters of all time.. This on the pc though, not tried it on a console..

The maps are actually quite well balanced, i've seen on valve homepage that there is almost 50-50 split wins between red and blu team on each map..

Dont think the classes are out of balance either, and players on each team often spread equally between the classes..
Only that some classes need more skill than others, but if you manage them they are very rewarding.

Luckily there is not a OMFGninja on every server.. lol

I personally love TF2. Ive put too many hours into it. After playing COD4 and BF2 etc. Its a change. I think part of the appeal to me is the style. The Pixar-ish looking characters, and the personality of each class and area is fresh compared to generic grunts and military bases.

As people have said though, PC has it up on consoles. The updates changed how some classes played etc. and more players on a server = more cartoon carnage, which is always good IMO.
I always play with 4 or 5 friends though, which probably adds to my enjoyment as well.

And it's made by Valve, don't forget that. There's some huge bias revolving around that company that's plain silly.

I'll tell you another one.

I found Portal to be an interesting but ultimately dull experience. It's over too fast to start hating it though.

I played the pc version for 10 minutes and haven't played it since, I found it so boring and know because of the new character updates it's not balanced any more, new players won't stand a chance against the people who play it non stop and unlock all the weapons.

Geez shut up will ya. How do you know its not balanced anymore if you only played it for 10 minutes? Cause you read "Scout gets new weapons!" somewere in the internet? And the game doesnt reward the player for playinf non-stop. Most of the achievments needed for the first weapon unlock for most classes you can get in 20 minutes.

I tried it once with the new weapons, and although not all the new weapons are unfair, most are well balanced, I found myself at a disadvantage.
