Even when those filthy terrans[footnote]:p[/footnote] and vanu try to stop you with their own Platoon.
Fine stay in a technological dark age. Me and my Vanu buddies will find the secrets of alien technology and destroy you.

OT: Well I find it boring, but I think it would be a lot more fun to play with friends and none of mine play ps2(first time i was that abbreviation I thought it meant play station 2. Yeah I was confused)

It seems some people are actually having trouble getting around and finding the massive battles and "Zerg". Although most people seem to just not like the game I am going to link to this video in the hopes it helps anyone who is just having trouble navigating the world, it helped me a lot.

The moment I saw the Thread title I knew the ravenous hoards would descend upon the OP faster than a pack of Grammar Nazis on a incorrect use of "there". IT'S A FIGURE OF SPEECH PEOPLE! Just stop! You don't look clever or witty for pointing out the predictably obvious. It just comes off as obnoxious. Good god.
As does the expression. You want people to stop being obnoxiously sarcastic? Stop with this idiotic expression. Otherwise, get used to us being around.
The only real reasoning I've seen for someone disliking the expression is them being overly pedantic curmudgeons who can't accept a simple figure of speech and want to look smarter. The expression itself is no less intelligent to use than any other non-literal phrase. It's clearly been established as that, so complaining about it is very nearly equivocal to whining about any long established expression in language because you happen to take things too literally. In that sense, no. I'll gladly continue chastising anyone else's poor attempt to look clever by continuously pointing out a non-issue. I'm not going to "get used to you being around". I'll just keep calling it like I see it. Have a nice day.
And we're not going to "get used to" this stupid choice of words. A nice day to you, too.
Yes, a bastion of reasoning you are. "It's stupid because I don't like it despite it being perfectly serviceable expression that's hardly any different from other non-literal phrases that I don't whine about." Uh-huh. Somehow I don't hold your opinion in very high regard. Hopefully others feel similarly.
You don't know what phrases I do and don't whine about. You only know about this one. 'Sides, you should be thanking me! I'm only trying to acquaint you with reality.
Well, unless you take issue with virtually every other non-literal phrase, then your little attempt to correct me is pretty much invalid, as I never tried to specify which phrases you do and don't whine about. Of course, I wouldn't put it past you to complain about them all, as the brunt of your position is mostly you attempting to pass your personal preference off as having some kind of authority. Perhaps you're only speaking of your reality, which sounds to be a magical land where the legitimacy of expressions and idioms are based entirely on the petulant whims of individuals such as yourself. Thanks, but I'll decline that offer to visit; it sounds like a pretty obnoxious place.

Yea what a jackass right it's not like it's a common figure of speech or anything.

OT: Still downloading it so I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Need to call my internet company in the morning. Broadband my ass.

I thought it was pretty dynamic, my first session I just figured out the map and where my faction, The heavy metal freedom fighters are the best btw, was well organized and joined the group up. I didn't know a single soul there but we were all cooperating in taking the bases and stuff it was pretty awesome. If you run around aimlessly you're going to die though it requires team effort to accomplish stuff or at least a small commando team.

That said, I did not like the Gunplay very much, though I don't really know what about it I dislike it just feels very weird. And the netcode is not very good with high pings compared to other modern fps, being locked out in South America makes it rather insufferable.

I dislike the fact it crashes every ten minutes on my PC that can run full-detail Battlefield 3 on a 64 player server. Other than that I love it.

Personally, I like it. Seeing these massive battles play out is amazing to watch and participate in. Sure, it's not perfect, it'd be nice for my framerate to not drop as low as it does sometimes, but my PC isn't exactly amazing, so it's kinda expected, driving can be annoying sometimes, but the only thing I use vehicles for is transport, so that's forgivable for me. Getting around is fairly simple for me though, I don't see what some people are complaining about, there's a hotspot deploy system you can use, and if that's not up, just get an aircraft, it never takes more than 5 minutes to fly somewhere.

I like the idea the progression system goes with, but some things are just asking too much in my opinion, the 1000 cert guns being one of them, although personally I like the 250 cert gun better on my combat medic, than the 1000 cert one's.

Overall, it's pretty good in my opinion, and if the issues it does have were fixed, it would be amazing.

Also: Terran Republic = awesome. Loyalty Until Death!
