No, I don't believe I'm getting them confused. I merely acknowledge that some mythologies speak of vampires as cunning and seductive bastards, while some see them as disgusting-looking bastards. One: They were written like bad fan fiction and were absolutely delicious.
And Two: Since Harry Potter, they were the best books I'd read.
