i know how you feel...kinda you just have a gay crush on a character is all a lot of guys and girls have crushes on anime characters...
The internet will also hate you for it.Hiphophippo said:sounds like the start of furrydom. the internet will still accept you. bets are off with your friends and family however.
I know it's not just a man-crush hence why I said "extreme example", anyway everyone has had strange crushes before and this is just a particularly odd example but as odd crushes are normal so is this.stinkychops said:Except this isn't a man crush. This is a person claiming to be in love with a fictional dog.Thundero13 said:Probably the only one to say this but this is perfectly normal, men who consider themselves straight often have man-crushes and vice-versa for women, people who are underage have been known to fall for people
That's not perfectly normal.
Acting as though it is, no doubt to fool yourself, will be harmful to the OP. Don't be selfish.

I changed it because I pressed post by accident, didn't you see how I stopped in mid-sentence? Anyway if you're going to be like that then remember that normal means nothing, if there is a normal then there can only be one thing in existance that is normal because everything else would be different and therefore not normal and to answer "Is anything not normal to you?" Gay people are said to copewith odd things better then straight people as they were different growing up.stinkychops said:Things that are odd are normal now? What is this babble?Thundero13 said:I know it's not just a man-crush hence why I said "extreme example", anyway everyone has had strange crushes before and this is just a particularly odd example but as odd crushes are normal so is this.stinkychops said:Except this isn't a man crush. You never said "extreme example" before the edit. Don't act as though I'm at fault, when you changed the post after my response.
Is anything not normal to you?
You didn't really understand what I was saying, first of all I am gay also english is my first language and no obviously i'm not supporting rapist's paedophiles & Zoophiles but my point is that... well i'll try to put it clearly: it's not normal to only be attracted to animals and if that were the case then I would suggest he see a psychiatrist but he said that he has had many girlfriends and that this is the only animal/fictional character/male person he likes, this is just another crush that he will get over, I have had a crush on a fictional character before despite him not being real but I got over it just like any other crush i've had, as have most people, what i'm trying to say is that having a once-off crush on something abnormal is normal.stinkychops said:Dude, I can barely understand what you're trying to say here. Normal doesn't mean nothing. That's silly. A cancerous cell is not normal, depression is not normal, misaligned tyres on a car are not normal. No doubt you would support treating depression, removing cancer and fixing cars. However now that this mans sexual preference comes into play it suddenly becomes wrong to question it. You adopt the view that people can like whatever they want. However, surely you do not support paedophiles? Surely you don't support rapists? Surely you don't support zoophiles(sp?)?
So why do you support his love (implied sexual) for this animated, childlike, dog?
You didn't respond to my question at all. What do gay people have to do with this? Are you saying they're not normal? I suppose you're right. However some things are further from normal than others.
Where we have to draw the line is where people start getting hurt. Will this mans obsession for this fictional animal damage his life? Of course. It cannot return love. It will earn him ridicule. It will be an embarrassment for him to lug around.
Normal is not a single thing, it is more an area. Like a bell curve. Sure, interpretations vary. I don't think enough interpretations vary to allow "wanting to screw fictional dogs" as being normal. Thankyou.
I wasn't saying I was superior to straight people I was just suggesting a reason why I don't find this as weird as you do, sorry if it sounded insulting.stinkychops said:My apologies. What I meant by that gay comment is that generally speaking gay people (such as myself) can cope with odd things better then straight people and I tend to assess things a lot before I decide they are not normal.
I hope that cleared things up for you.
The movie was released in 2008. Over two years ago.
That seems like more than a crush to me. Regardless, he's ruled out seeking help so I suppose he wants your kind of comments as opposed to mine.
Have a great day.![]()
