Amazing Bargain Bin Finds

Well something that happened to me today gave me the idea for this thread, plus its not really a topic I've seen about a lot lately. Anyway. I went down to my local GAME store to purchase a World of Warcraft 2 month time card and while on my way to the PC section, something in the bargain bin caught my eye. Something I would never ever ever expect to see in a bargain bin.

Knights of the Old Republic.

So I picked it up, walked up to the counter and asked how much since it wasn't priced like most others in the bin. And the reply from the bloke behind the counter was "A pound". My head almost exploded from the sudden onset of joy. After I stupidly sold my original copy, I'd found it again for one of the Queen's British pounds. I have never moved fast enough. Coincidentally forgetting the thing I went in there for the first place. But anyway.

What amazing finds have you found in a bargain bin I wonder?

i am truly jealous. i would have probably peed a little bit out of pure excitement to pay and get the fuck out of there to play

OT: mine was finding ff7 before it was out on psn (months before) in perfect condition at my local game store, the case and manual and every disc had zero scratches on it, got it for 11 bucks, i literally had a few tears of excitement and joy when i was handing the money over for it

I nearly had an orgasm to be honest. And I hauled arse out of there. Forgetting my WoW timecard in the process.

I found Super Mario 64 DS and Zelda: Spirit Tracks at the pawn shop for $8.00 each at the pawn shop yesterday. I was happy, needless to say...

Not video game related, but I picked up complete copies of the board games Hero Quest and Space Crusade for $2 and $5 respectively.

Finding those made my day, week, month AND year.

is that the space quest rpg GW made with the couple of space marines? if so i am very healous i can never find it anywhere ¬_¬

OT: i got both KZ2 and infamous for 22 squids i was a rather happy murder dispensing bunny.

I got a pristine copy of Mortal Kombat: Deception for $11 at EBGames in Aus for XBox, pretty bloody cheap, considering they were selling crap like Football Manager '03 for about $18

I bought The Bard's Tale on Xbox for $3 (USD) at GameStop. At that price it's a steal. I should check out bargain bins more often.

Saints Row 2 for $7, GTA 4 for $15, Morrowind for $9, Force Unleashed for $20 (while cheap, it STILL wasn't worth it, unless you're an achievement whore like me and want some quick achievements/trophies.)

I found Timesplitters for $4.99 once. Too bad when I put it in my PS2 it didn't work. I had been looking for that game for a while too.

Well, i recently found a Special Edition of Jade Empire for 2.95? in a bargain bin in what is probably the largest IT stuff chain in my country.

Just to put into context what an amazing find that was: such stores in my country usually don't lower prices that much, and are mostly clueless as to what exactly they're selling, to the point that, to this day, i still find many copies of Tabula Rasa around *and* with the price tag of 19.99? and even of 39.99? in one store.

My GAME no longer has a bargain bin. One of them has 'used games' which is basically just £5 knocked off them. I went in there the other day looking for TS:FP but alas there was no bargain bin. Now I have to buy all my older games off the internet.
