Hmm....
For me it is every fighting game made by Arc System Works.
Also, the ones from Brutal Legend, Final Fantasy X and Persona 3 and 4.

I have to give two games credit for actually having me go out of my way to get their soundtrack. The first, is Bastion, which has already been mentioned. The second is Neotokyo. Never heard of it? Hear's a taste.

The entire soundtrack is nothing but pure concentrated epic. I suggest to anyone to listen to it as it is the best ambient electronic music I have ever heard (And that slight hint of eastern influence adds a lot to it).
I love that Album. Probably one of the most unique blends of Jazz, Blues, and Techno That I have ever heard. I still think there needs to be a wailing guitar solo in the middle of that song.

Currently My top Album has been Armored Core V

I loved Super Meat Boy's soundtrack, it's so perfect for the setting. FF9 too, love it.
And like Dusty said, ME3's soundtrack is excellent.

I'd have to give it to FFVII. Cliche, I'm sure, but Aerith's Theme and One-Winged Angel are such classics!
Also love the Opera song from FFVI.

OT: I'd have to say the Skyrim theme. And I think I like it so much because I was a big fan of the Oblivion theme, so a lot of nostalgia.

Mass Effect 3's was fantastic, probably one of my favorites. "Leaving Earth" is amazing. The brass section they used to mimic a Reaper is just delightfully evil. And they do this cool effect with the piano to make it "space-ey"...like a satellite, if that makes sense.
Agreed, though I think "I was lost without you" is my favourite.

Other than ME soundtracks (cause all three rock)
I love the inFAMOUS 2 soundtracks, two amazing albums!

Deus Ex Human Revolution has a huge amount of amazing tracks. It's not like some games where they loop the same boring tracks 80 times, there's a track for each new area that all feel different enough to prevent music from becoming stale and forgettable.

One of the best ones that I've heard in my entire gaming life is the theme to Ace Combat Zero. I absolutely love it. It's my ringtone as well. I think it's called Zero. When it's being played while I'm watching the trailer, it gives me chills literally every time. Amazing Soundtrack.
Oh fuck yes.

OT:

I've posted this in similar thread around before, but have it again anyway, since I can't be bothered to go look for something else.

The soundtracks to Doom and the Castlevania series really appeal to me, Persona 4 also really gave the game a lot of energy.

This was definitely the high point of the game for me. The cutscene leaving earth was freaking movie quality. Real emotional.

But the real winner here is Shadow of the Colossus. I can't think of one soundtrack that a) fits better with its game and b) adds as much to the experience as that of shadow of the colossus.

I'm surprised nothing from Sonic's Mega Drive days has been mentioned so far in this thread (unless I accidentally scrolled past it).

Where do I begin? There's so much choice. Even something as simple as an intro theme:

My personal favourite level theme:

Borderlands.
Sure, it's not actually their music but that opening scene with Aint No Rest for the Wicked was hilarious. I'm really not much into the artsy background music, but Skyrim's soundtrack was pretty fitting.

Any intro song, really.

Whoever doesn't like the Deus Ex theme has no soul.

What the hell guys, it took this long for someone to mention the original Deus Ex? That's probably the best soundtrack I've ever heard. Really great stuff in there. Specifically Unatco and the return to Unatco tracks were awesome.

Halo Reach
Mass effect series
Crysis 2
Bastion
The Red Dead Redemption credits song
Modern warfare 2 has a good one. Better then the game itself deserves, IMO.

Probably one one of the more original ones. I mean Halo, Mass Effect, Skyrim are using a symphony's. Not that that is a bad thing I don't like Halo but I like the music but these guys are using a banjo.

Or if you men OST then there that one is also good. Fits with the game well.
