And spelling.

On topic, I agree. Either I'm bizarre or I don't see the appeal in ingesting mind-altering toxins I have the pay for.
Hey!
I'm exactly the same!
...wait. That doesn't exactly help you, does it...

Oh we're technically allowed... we just have to have an adult supervisor or gaurdian present.

wooo.... party.

It sucks really, I'm 18 and my dad gave me a book on wine. So I try reading it and find out its boring as hell to read about wine when you cant drink any.

Explain to me what the rush to get smashed is again? I have never seen the great awsomeness to putting yourself in a state where your unable to do anything, or even think straight...
Fun. Parties. Girls. Friends. Knowing you are breaking the rules. Laughing. Living. Loving. Acting stupid and not being persecuted. Having a jolly at the expense of a friend. Having stories to share with good friends down the road.

Can you do all this without booze? Sure. Some of us like both, however. There really isn't much to explain. You know all those people that go to bars and have fun? Well, that's us. Maybe that's not you. And that is alright.

I play video games. Lots of video games. I'm sure thats what the rest of the people on the Escapist actually do as well. Honestly, I've drunk before. I've never seen the appeal in it, before, during, and after drinking. I doubt I'll drink much more when I turn 21.

Actually in America the States control drinking age. The reason they are now in line with 21 years has to do with federal highway money. States that want federal funds for their roads have to follow federal highway regulation. At some time some federal organization said 21 years of age drunk driving is safer than under 21 years of age drunk driving. They used drunk driving for highway safety to allow the 21 mandate. If they can tie in the regulation some how to funding it gives the fed the right to deny that specific funding, if that state refuses to fall in line.

Stupid, I know.

Yeah, here in Australia legal age is 18 aswell, I only turned 21 four months ago I dont know how I would have coped up until 4 months ago, I am guessing thats why the illegal market for fake id's are alot higher than here or in the UK

By never caring to drink in the first place. 23 years old of being a clear-minded teetotaler, how ever many until I die left to go.

It goes by many names and we all do it. Usually by ourselves but when another person gets involved it's MAGICAL.

Now im a Brit so we can drink from pritty much any age as long as are parents say its ok, then 18 is the legal age to get boose. As far as i know in america drinking is prohibited until your the age of 21...How on earth do you cope/did you cope with that? it sounds regiculus.

This also goes for any other people from contries with simular drinking rules, I am only really aware of america not being able to drink till 21 sure there are more out there.

I don't drink and I never will, so the legal drinking age changes nothing for me. But seriously... Nobody obeys the legal drinking age.
