The hypothetical reason you have to leave is unimportant for the purposes of this thread, so let's not go off on a tangent speculating about felonies and which countries don't extradite.

I'd probably go to Costa Rica. There is a relatively large American expat community there, the climate is great, the cost of living is low compared to the US, I think Hispanic girls are hot, Costa Rica doesn't have a military so there's no risk of a bloody coup, and I already know enough Spanish to get by okay the first few months before I pick up more of the language.

Can I still visit other countries, or do I have to stay in the one country for the rest of my life?

EDIT: If I can visit other places sometimes, then I'd probably go live in Canada, as it's similar to the US, has free healthcare, and the language is largely the same as it is here. It's also very large.

Canada since theres not to much of a language barrier and some parts aren't that different to the US with climate.

I always wanted to live in Spain, but I dont think my Spanish would carry me. Plus its in bad times right now economically, and is looking like the next Greece.

Canada would be nice.

Or maybe australia.

Actually.. I dont know. I dont think I could go anywhere, especially since I'd rather like a place with my rights still intact like they are in the US.

Do US protectorates count?

If not, either Ireland or Germany, mainly because of family there.

Ireland speaks near-English, so I think I could get by on my current language skills.
Or, I think I could pick German up soon enough, if I really applied my self.

Go wherever you like, you just can't come back to America. Obviously have to go to some other country first... unless you just plan on chilling on a boat in international waters

This is dumb. I wouldn't. And why are there so many political threads in the casual forum. Shouldn't this go in the political and religious forum?
This has nothing to do with politics. Pls go

Well, first choice was Canada. Then their government collapsed(or thats what the news says. Probably just overblowing it like they do with everything, but still, their government isn't exactly at its best right now). Seems the government's just "on break". We'll see how it is when it comes back.

England was another choice, but again, government isn't that great. Wouldn't say bad, but its a conservative government right now, which is something I'd rather not live in.

Ireland - Again, government's in the crapper.

Australia - The continent has giant fucking spiders. Along with wildlife that is bred to kill everything in the scariest ways possible. And did I mention the giant fucking spiders? Yeah, no.

New Zealand - Don't really know much about the place to be honest. Seems nice I guess. Guess it wins by default?

Anywhere else I'd have to learn a new language, which would be a pain in the ass. But if I had to choose from a nation that doesn't use English as the primary language, I guess I'd go with Japan. Yes it has Earthquakes and Tsunami's to deal with, but they're the most re-enforced against those things. So I wouldn't mind so much.

I concur with Costa Rica. Perhaps Chile so I can be all, "I'm Chilean!"

Bad jokes are awesome.

China. My family knows some fairly important people there, so I'd live a nice life off the labors of others :D

England. So I wouldn't have to learn another language, have to deal with Canada (nothing personal against Canadians, I just don't want colder weather than where I already live). Plus, I can get use to the English accent better than any other European accent. I refuse to go to Australia as well.

I would probably go to Canada, most likely Vancouver because I am in Oregon now and I don't think Vancouver would have that different of a climate.

Probably Canada. It's essentially like the USA. Plus my roommate, who was originally from Canada, won't shut up about awesome it supposedly is, and I guess he made a few positive impressions because I kind of want to go there now.

Or maybe the UK, Ireland, or possibly Australia. My options are kind of limited seeing as how I can only speak English.
